Exactly. WTF are people so upset.

It takes 1 second to read , move on . It took more time to complain about it than to read and move on.

That has been handled exceptionally well.

That whole Gino situation was really odd if you ask me. Sounds like a cry for attention, but that's just my feeling. People having a vigil outside his hospital room... I think people were had and haven't talked about it since for that reason.

I don't at all. I loved Gino and I hope he's okay. I just know he has mental issues, financial issues and Pavel was being honoured, Pat Quinn was being honoured and perhaps he was feeling left out. Just my opinion.

That's a hell of a thing to say without any actual proof.

i think if you're on your death bed you probably reflect on your life and wonder if you've done enough or want to be appreciated for what you did. So i understand what you're saying

that being said. I don't think you can question Gino's physical health. The heart issue was/is legit.

NHL announces John Scott will captain the Pacific division at the ASG
- VANTEL

that pos Cherry was ranting and going off on Canuck player Fitzgerald and blaming him personally for not backing out when Nux fans were voting him into the ASG and now that lame arse f*ck has nothing to say to john scott since he's not on the Nux... he's ripping the fans who voted instead.

hate that douchebag with his anti-canuck bs...

I explained my thoughts. He was given weeks to live two years ago, I guess that's not enough proof for you. Not trying to be insensitive, just always thought something was off about the situation.

He was originally given one year to live by his doctors when his heart was functioning at around 20% capacity. He responded well enough to treatment and now his doctors are saying maybe 3 years.

Personally I think if you're popular enough to be voted in you should be in. The NHL thought up this stupid gimmick of letting fans vote because they can't think of any way to make it more enjoyable.

That said I haven't watched an allstar game since the mid 90's. I believe its a waste of time. I want to see actual competition not a bunch of millionaires getting together to hang out.

Thanks. I imagine a guy want some privacy but everything ramped up so fast and then you hear nothing for months makes you wonder. I seen him at the rink a few times last season not this season so far.

The doctors were able to treat the protein buildup in the heart for now, but they can't get rid of it and it will come back. Amyloidosis is kind of like alzheimer's disease but for the heart. Plaques build up eventually limiting the function of the organ.

AL amyloidosis is terminal within 40 months. I don't know if he has had a bone marrow transplant or if he has gone through Chemo but prognosis on this is not good.

waiting for them to come up with some new fun rules... you get one stick for the game, you break it and you have to borrow someone else's. and some stupid questions like the ability of Swallows to carry coconuts and banishment for the rest of the weekend if they get it wrong. #tuesdays

Yesterday Bazz mentioned how we wanted to trade Gaunce at one point and now he is slotted in to most peoples line up .

He is not wrong . When he is a your top prospect that's is where you lay your hope. We did the same with Jensen . Our top prospects right now on the comets are servicable fringe players. There are no Grade A prospects playing there yet. Boesner and Demko will change that in two years, but for now we are staying afloat.

Shink is our best prospect right now . He may be an elite player in our eyes but is probably just a very good player , nothing special. I think he is behind Vey and Etem on the depth charts.

I see this as our current young players for the next few years.

Centres : Sutter Bo Mccann Vey.
RW : Hansen JV Dorsett.
LW : Sven Etem.

Defence: Tanev Edler Hutton Pedan( big maybe).

Goalie : Markstrom.

The rest of the spots are short term like Danny and Hank. I put Hansen who has 2 years left, because I think he will be here for a while.

We need to start filling in the blanks.
I thought trading a # 24 pick and a small Dman ( Subban ) for a # 26 pick 6'2 RHD made sense. We need D , Montreal needs scoring

- VANTEL

I agree that the Canucks don't have any grade A prospects now that McCann, Virtanen and Horvat have graduated. Although I would likely put Virtanen still in the prospect range.

Shink at this point is still a very 1 dimensional streaky player and while he has the most points in Utica, he isn't their best or most NHL ready player IMO.

Boeser and Demko look good right now as well but it is very hard to judge guys in the NCAA, especially considering they are on stacked teams. I don't think we will really know what we have in them until they make it to the AHL.

Gaunce has been up and down this year but IMO is still their most NHL ready prospect, he was playing their #1 C while they were decimated with injuries and while he didn't dominate, he did okay.

I say hold on to all your prospects because at this point we have no idea who will rise to the top. Hutton is a prime example of that.

I can't believe people are actually getting this worked up over the ASG and the whole John Scott fiasco. Do any of you even think for a second that the players ACTUALLY enjoy the All Star weekend? I bet you half of them wish they didn't have to go. The whole thing is a huge sham, a waste of time, and a money grab by the league. We should probably discuss a relevant topic now
