The thing that hurts Gaunce is they just brought in Etem. That was suppose to be his spot
- VANTEL

Maybe they brought in Etem because Gaunce wasn't pushing Higgins out fast enough.

Edit: what hurts Gaunce the most is not playing for Medicine Hat.

Yeah . I get that feeling too. That should have been Gaunces spot , they went outside the system to get Etem. That left side was ripe for the pickens

Here's an offer I would make to the Habs

Vrbata for their second round pick

Jordan Subban and Shink for Noah Juulsen

We have too many small forwards and montreal need scoring.

Juulsen is from Abbotsford drafted 26 th overall and is 6'2 RHD

You're giving up way too much to early in their career.

Benning did not sign Sutter as a third line centre.

I honestly believe Bo MCCann Sutter and Vey will be fine . We are strong down the middle for years. Don't need Kadri

Once we learn how to win face-offs.

So you're saying Raymond and Ballard still has legs?

I am playing the odds. I think 6'2 RHD 26 th overall has a better chance to make the club over a 5'8 5 th rounder.

It really is my biggest bone of contention. 30th in the league is f@cking horrible.

Yeah, I agree with that. I think Shink has a big upside though, although I agree he is a little redunadant with Sven, but he may turn out to be the better player.

He wasn't winning faceoffs though, whatever his other injury was that kept him off the dot.

I think he will be a better player. He is stronger on his skates and I think that makes him better now but Bart has the one way contract.

Tricky. But we've got Shink locked up a long time so long as he's in the A. He might not like but... Also, there will be another top 6 spot once Vrbata is gone, hopefully they can think of something

Yeah I think they just couldnt pass up that deal. Jensen was never gona do anything. I dont see why they cant move Gaunce to the 4th line center spot in place of Cracknell or have him there for next season if they dont have a spot on the wing.

He brings size which this team is really lacking. The LA guys in the AHL said he was Uticas best player after the final. Would also probably be able to take some PK time away from Bo and Sutter.

I also like that he wont put up with poop on the ice. Plays with an edge for a little guy even though he isnt physical.

Good point about the PK ability. Don't we have Sutter, Bo, Vey and McCann up the middle? Cracknell is already redundant but Gaunce will improve in the A. I don't mind leaving he and Shink for this year.

This team will look drastically different next season.
