With RNH out, there goes my dream trade scneario for Hamhuis.
I think we keep him now and resign him in the offseason.

Still hoping we trade Vrbata
and flip Burrows in a package while eating salary for scraps.

There is still a chance to get Kadri, don't give up all hope.

Wouldn't that mean his next three years?
- golfingsince

Maybe setting his sites a little high...may want a more attainable benchmark.

I was wondering about an RNH for McCann and Hamhuis deal if Hamhuis was to sign an extension... With how quickly the Rangers defense is falling apart I honestly dont know if I would take Hamhuis back next season even at a home town discount, the older players just cant seem to keep up like they have previously.

According to TSN, Dumba and Brodin have been on the trade block, as the wild are looking for scoring.
What would it take to get em?

Vrbata and Vey for either/or??

Yeah, pass.

I'm not on that boat.
I think RNH is better and has a higher ceiling, but it's a pipe dream at this point.

If TSN is right I could see a Drouin trade in there somewhere.

a UFA and a player who was put on waivers this year for either of those players is a big stretch.

I was thinking the same last night. Now leaning Blues, Avs, Ducks.

Sabres trending up over the last week or so. Avs are one of the hottest teams over the last month or so.

I don't get the Drouin boner. The guy hasn't played a full season in the NHL, to the best of my limited knowledge, and was a healthy scratch several times during Tampa's play off run last season.

Edler would have to be a part of this deal from an Oilers perspective one would imagine. So unless you can deal Vrbta, Hamhuiks and prospects for immediate help on Defense it doesnt happen.

So basically 100% agree with you

I'm not a fan either. I guess the fact that he is a 3rd overall pick with potential to be a 1st line winger. I think he is overrated, but he is only 20 years old. I wouldn't pay what Yzerman is probably asking for and it doesn't look like a lot of GM's want to either or he would be traded already.

He's very young and highly skilled. I wouldn't put too much stock in him being scratched during the playoffs, they wanted experience. That's a very deep roster he's trying to crack. The kid still has a legit chance to be a star.

And the Edmonton Oilers with the 2016 first overall selection pick . . .

It's coming.

Maybe it is good for the game?

You'd think they would have addressed that just like Scott getting voted in, same crazy stuff keeps happening over and over again.

if you are going to enjoy each other's companionship, maybe you should get a room?

you guys, as you get older, you get more touchy feely.

The problem with Edmonton is that all these draft picks are not helping the team win. Its the Oilers that are flawed not the draft system, except for teams that intentionally tank.
