I don't know that he wanted to go to Buffalo the city so much as Buffalo the incredibly rabid and loyal fan base (yes, the booed their home team last year)>
Or, the fact that he would have said he was fortunate to go to whatever team drafted him because it's the "right thing" to say. |

Once empty lots filled with gravel and are now new and buzzing gravel production businesses. - eichiefs9
you'd have to look out a window to see.....oh nvm |

And maybe he was glad to get drafted by a team that is a lot closer to his family. Now they can see him play without having to travel to the desert and watch with the landscapers and drywallers. |

Sucks about Ryan Nugent-Hopkins. Edmonton used all their luck up on the drafts.

I say it still comes down to management. St. Louis keeps winning games despite injuries. Overall, St. Louis is a better managed team with more depth to withstand injuries imo. - Tumbleweed
Or they keep getting lucky. 4 #1 picks in 6 years and with long term injuries to two of those picks (McDavid and RNH) they might be in a position to get their 5th in 7 years and cause the NHL to immediately create a rule that no team can win the #1 pick two years in a row. |

karlsson? ... he's still 4th in scoring. Not impressive?
take him and his 29 minutes out of ottawa and they fold like a hockey team in montreal without their starting goalie |

Best defenesman of the NHL today, of his generation and a sure-fire 100% lock for the Hall of Fame.
Erik Karlsson is the best reason to watch the NHL, pretty much. |

Yup...I figured as much. You mentioned (I think) that you live in Southern Ontario. It was on WUTV last night. I caught it also. Super funny episode, eh? |

Normally I would say imagine how much fun he would be to watch if the NHL actually called all penalties, but he is so fast that it might not make that much of a difference for him with the way he skates. |

I really think Stone will be traded. There are rumors here and there. Plus he was on the top pairing, but he's been playing bottom pairing as of late. He takes too many penalties. Tippet hates that! Plus he wants a raise. And the Yotes now have 8 Dmen. So i'm thinking, maybe he could be moved. |

Not to mention that, if he WERE a forward, 4th in scoring would still be pretty impressive. Top 5 in scoring is a solid place to be for any player. |

Been to Buffalo many times and deservedly is appropriate to be the butt end of most jokes!!
Total dump! - Cooshie
Been to Phoenix a few times. It's a great place if you like heat, immigrants, overvalued real estate, sand, guns, heat, traffic, narrow-minded white folks, underachieving sports teams (just like us!), water rationing, air conditioning....meh.
There is nothing in the desert, and no man needs nothing. |

I wouldn't put it past Maloney to do something stupid, but he's young, huge, hits, has a cannon, all round good D. Murphy is a better match with OEL, so I don't really see that as a demotion.
For a team who regularly dressed Michalek, Dahlbeck and Grossmann, all of whom are pure garbage, he's not someone who should be moved. |
