TSN with an article about Brian Burke campaigning to widen the ice surface to 90' from current 85'. He has Jimmy Delvechio from Detroit on board, with Detroits new arena designed to accommodate the wider ice surface in the future.
I would love it as one of the ways to open the game up through the neutral, zone and give more room to maneuver in the O-zone. Along with enforcing the existing rules on hooking, holding, interference, etc. maybe the game would open up...and make the Goalie equipment smaller to increase scoring.

I remember reading about that, he just proposed eliminating the first row of seats. I think it'd be great, but I think it's not a very cost-effective thing to do. Not all rinks can do that with the way they're constructed, or it would cost a pretty penny to retrofit the arenas.
To be fair to Drouin, Kane was able to ask for his trade while continuing to play in the NHL.
TB isn't giving Drouin the opportunity to ask for a trade and then just play his game and lie about it when asked. - JetpackJesus
Very true, but Drouin is only in his 2nd pro season. I just posted the average age for an NHL player in 13-14 was almost 28 years old. Give it more than 2 months before throwing poop fit.
Didn't know they consider water girls to be coaches...just kidding!
Times are a changing.
What position does she coach? - IonSabres
Special teams quality control coach. She's the first female to hold a full-time coaching job in the NFL. She's apparently been on the Bills staff for 7 years.

Good for her. - JetpackJesus
I want to say the Cardinals had a woman on their staff for the preseason. Maybe it wasn't them, but someone did and she was only an intern of sorts and was never going to have a job once the season started.

I'd agree with that if it didn't seem like TB sent him down out of spite or to punish him.
He had 32 points in 70 games last year at 19. I know his performance decreased considerably this year, but I don't think he was sent to the AHL because TB thinks he needs to be there to develop.

That's right. She was a linebackers (I think) coach during the offseason. Apparently the Bills called Bruce Arians to discuss the hiring for that reason.

Id say go straight to olympic size, but it will never happen. should have happened when most teams were building new arenas in the early 90's.
