no but they could have been used to acquire players who could help now while the best goalie in the world is in his prime and they have a supposed norris defenseman. you can't keep building for 5 years from now. At some point you have to say well we might as well go for it.

There are many (other) reasons why he has not made a trade in the last 6-8 weeks.

Not saying they can't win without him but you take their all star goalie out and replace with an inexperienced back up for the whole season and they may play different

turns out he may not be but nevertheless coming out of last year everyone knew he needed to bolster the offense and what does he add? Alex Semin and Zack Kassian. the cheap longshot and the desperation move.

Habs have some very good pieces, things haven't gone well in the last 2 months and that's an understatement but I'm realistic enough to keep the frustration in check and keep the bigger picture in mind

That would be a welcomed change for sure.

Habs have some very good pieces, things haven't gone well in the last 2 months and that's an understatement but I'm realistic enough to keep the frustration in check and keep the bigger picture in mind

that's kind of the funniest part about this season, how Bergevin drops that word into every sentence to gloss over the fact that he can't add talent, and in reality, this team has shown itself to have terrible character.

Again, their previous 2 season records proved otherwise.

They decided to move Chuckie to center and try that. Team got points in 20 of first 24 games, and was virtually scoring at will. At that point, looked like a good move.

Hindsight is a (frank)ing female genitalia, for sure, but when you draft a guy to be your #1 center and say you want him to be your number one center, but your coach gives him 3rd line minutes, and weaker wingers - there is an obvious disconnect somewhere in the organization.

That, to me, is the real problem... whether it is MB or MT (or both to blame) I do not know.

Galchenyuk and Gallagher are very nice pieces, Petry and Beaulieu... McCarron... some decent depth players and of course Price
