Honestly, I'm still trying to figure out how people can say "well he faced the music and that's great".
He basically said
- If you want to blame someone, blame me
- I'm the guy who decides who gets sent to St-John and who gets called up
- I'm the guy responsible for the players Therrien gets to play
- There are almost no big trades
- It's very difficult to make the team better
- I don't want to sacrifice the future
- I work hard and do the best I can
- For all of the above, I feel I've done the best I could

Its good that he stuck his neck out for the coaching staff. Therrien is only partly responsible. Its just not as brave of him as it seems as he was just extended long-term so if he gets fired he'll be fine anyways. (Financially at least. A man's pride gets wounded when you get fired from a gig like the Habs especially if you grew up loving them)

If that's all he's got, then resigning is his best option.
All he did was take some heat off of MT for now, who really shouldn't be blamed, circles don't fit where squares should be..
