Yeah because its never gonna happen because those crappy players wont land you an NHLer - Fredo
And the fact that the Jackets would probably love to off load the last 3 years of his deal but you're right....maybe if they offered their next 10 1st round picks and Price they might consider moving him |

Obviously, the NHL is lying about attendance numbers and half the season ticket holders gave up their season tickets.
Without your brilliant encyclopedic memory, we would all obviously be lost. - Mashadar
Well in his defence, I've attended many games in phx, and you could have had a gun fight with nobody getting hit.
And the attendance was posted at 14k+ on NHL.com. |

Exactly
Habs bought tickets for a couple weekday games this season because they werent sold out already
Last home game 98.5 said around 3000 people had left by the half of the third period while it was still only 3-1 |

If we are using Phx as a barometer, then quite frankly no discussion will go anywhere. |

I appreciate your vast wisdom on the subject.
I am surprised someone with your intellect and insights spends time on this site, rather than doing important things like cure cancer, help raise baby pandas, or try to rid our oceans of all that plastic.
I am pretty sure I speak for everyone when I say we are much better people for your gifted contributions. |

Just reinforcing the fact that there is some fibbing that goes on about attendance.
That is all. |

I know.
Betteman was also trying to extort the city at the time, too. |

Why would the Habs buy their own tickets? That would just be throwing money into the player's pool and reducing their escrow. Plus, some of that would go to other teams in revenue sharing.
Make complete sense.
Not that I question your vast intelligence... or question you unquestionable moral character in making things up. |

Based on info from NHL.com, Montreal has basically had a 100% capacity in attendance from 2001 onwards (100%+ at the Bell Center)... the first few years from that data at the old forum fluctuate as they added seating/ standing room only tickets a few times.
Montreal has not has an attendance problem this century. - Mashadar
Tickets will always be sold, just not everyone at games. |

This was brought up by Martin Mcguire, Michel Langevin and Rejean Tremblay but I guess you have more contacts than three journalists with 50 years on the beat of an nhl team |

I am sure there are tickets that are not used at every game.
To say there are 3000+ tickets unused over a long period of games is quite beyond logic... if that were to happen, it would be all over the papers. |

So they are going to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to say they can be sold out, which a big chunk then goes to the players.
C'mon.

I don't think you'll get anywhere with him.. It's not a fact that the franchise was sold for 200 millions 15 years agos for the Team and the building to an american because no canadian investors would take the risk |
