I can't imagine that TB would want those types of players with their Cap situation

Winnipeg is a team I expect to make some major moves though
They prob should've traded Ladd &/or Byfuglien before the season started to get a better return

Trouba is way more established from watching him play, That is an overpayment at this time maybe not 2 years from now if Drouin fills out his game.. And Hamonic wants to go west to get closer to home. Maybe they can work a three way with Tampa Edmonton and The Islanders.

Drouin will be traded. It will cost the Lightning too much not to. Business will trump whatever moral high horse the league thinks it has. If a GM feels Drouin can improve his team, he will make a trade for him.

I think that's the type of contracts they'll want, but idk if that guy is near talented enough for a one-on-one trade with Drouin.

To be fair, none of the bolded are really proven either.

Girgensons went from a potential top 6 center, to scoring what 3 goals in 30 some odd games this year? Pysyk has 90 games under his belt averaging bottom pair minutes, and Guhle is a prospect.

I get what you are saying, and mostly agree, but any proven top 6 player, or top 2 defensemen is going to cost much more than someone like Girgensons at this point

he is a gamer and a role player. I think he is a great utility player to have because he can play just about any role for you and doesn't do any of them bad.. But is he a guy that other teams are willing to give up a potential top point getter for? probably not unless he is a prospect and they want to win NOW.

This is the exact reason we're better off keeping him. If he's not going to get you the player you want on his own, he's more valuable to keep, IMO.

This is the exact reason we're better off keeping him. If he's not going to get you the player you want on his own, he's more valuable to keep, IMO.

if he is not the centerpiece in a trade for a top winger or top pair d man, there is no reason to move him
