It's great to dominate 2 periods, but to drop a dud in third kind of cancels out all of the good that came before.

Lehner played great, the losing goal was redirected 2X.
he saved their bacon several times in period 1 and 2 and didn't play bad in the 3rd.

There has to be a lot more going on than any of us know. Not willing to discount any information at this point.

That's a team issue. They scored 1 goal all game and stopped playing as a team in the 3rd. I know Lehner is the one that gets the L but there's no way it's on him. Score more than 1 goal if you want to win a game.

I feel like we have 3 reasonably competent goalies because we rarely get blown out.
This teams problem is scoring. Straight up.
I'd like to see us find Risto's "long term Defensive life partner," but I think Murray's first priority should be scoring...

Just noticed the story is from 2014. Not to doubt it offhand, but the timing is odd since he's been all over the news months ago and someone just now comes out about a 1 year old story?

Still...the guy seems to have quite a problem even from the things I read in the Hawks threads this summer/fall.

Hasek. I loved watching him doing his thing. Apart from him, nothing in particular. Have always hated Vanek, ever since he played in Sioux Falls. BTW, he was just as lazy here as he was for the Gophers, Sabres, and as he is now. I remember being pissed when they drafted him. He would dog it back to the red line, then just float for a break away pass. Drove me nuts watching him play for the Stampede.

Sorry for the super late response, work is hectic today. My father is from Buffalo and he brought me up a bills and sabres fan. It's in my blood.

I have watched him enough to know he would be the 2nd most talented player on this team hands down.

He would be right behind Eichel in terms of pure hockey talent and I'm not sure it's that close between him, Reinhart or even Ristolainen.
