The young Russian righty d man, Nikita Zaitsev, that the Flyers had a lot of interest in is telling teams he will sign a 1 year ELC with the Leafs. |

I actually understand that chart.
It's quite interesting.
The thing is, what are the quality of those shots? That's important. |

Change "Prime" to High Scoring Chances or Scoring Chances. Change to score adjusted 5v5. Set data range for last two months or whatever range you'd like. And change to tabular view to make it easier to see. Graphical can give you more setting options but you can get lost setting it haha.
Should give you what you want. |

Islanders are in Ottawa tonight, I would think it could be an issue for them getting back into NY late this evening. - PLindbergh31
The NY airports aren't talking about cancelling flights/closing until afternoon tomorrow. Of course, commercial flights will be spotty because of planes not coming from other parts of the storm area. But a private flight would likely get in.

Hm. I'll be interested in what KHL team he signs with in 2017-18 in that case. |

I agree.
Coots is still day to day per Hextall. It would be a prudent decision. |

Absolutely. They'd sit perhaps their most important player along with the non elite duo...so a scrub can be moved |

He has very very good stats in the KHL. Better than Med ever had. And he's only 24. Right handed. Nuts. I bet he's soft as homemade melty chocolate chip cookies though |

You guys are gonna totally bash me for bringing this up but this to me is how unbelievable you guys are.
When Brayden Schenn scored the first goal of the game, you guys cheered on thr message board but not the same as G or Simmonds by called out their nickname or compliments. You guys didn't even acknowledge Schenn was the goal scorer. Look back and see. However, when the puck hopped over Schenn's stick of the possible game tying goal. Three guys were ready to stake him to a cross. |

The only Schenn I didn't appreciate was the one who is no longer here. It will be interesting to see what Hextall thinks of him come contract time |

scouts want to see certain players play burying them in the minors or putting them in the press box does nothing... we probably hurt vinny's trade value by doing that
scout would want to see what gagner could do against a potential playoff bound team like the penguins |

I really like Schenn and want him to succeed. I specifically mentioned after the goal that this might be the year he takes that step forward |

I just want to start by saying I am extremely disappointed this morning.
Now..... I have been an advocate for Mason over the last few years and last nights game was not Masons fault and I'm not about to say Mason has been bad this year. He's been fine, the defense is mediocre at best, but there is no denying his play has taken a step back from last season. Even then, hes been pretty solid. HOWEVER, Neuvirth has been unbelievable this season and if not for him we would be talking about our chances of getting the #1 overall pick. He has literally stolen games and given the Flyers chances to win games we had no business being in. Basically what I'm saying is if Mason played the game against Detroit....we would've lost. No doubt about it. If Neuvy played against Toronto AND Pitt. I think we win. I feel like it's time to let Neuvirth take the majority of the games the rest of the season if this team has any chance at the playoffs. They dont need good goaltending or "ok" or average some nights. They need game changing..... Thats been Neuvirth.
Thx. - GOA88
Has Mason really taken a step back this year though? I know the beginning of the year was rough for him, but since then he's been exceptional imo.
He and Neuvirth have put up almost identical numbers in every category in 5v5 play. The only place Mason has seemed to struggle is on the pk, where he has the leagues worst save %.
My question is, has Mason looked that bad on the pk? Or is that based more on defensive breakdowns in front of him? I haven't caught many games this year so I was curious what all of you have seen. |
