What a (frank)ing meltdown

I guess that happens now and then when you have a lot of young guys on the team

- nucks_94

Naw, just when you have Vey.

I think Hansen could get a 1st + b prospect easily if we traded. possibly more if there is a bidding war. guy tries hard every shift of every game and has the talent to make a difference.
- Retinalz

Why trade him then?

Miller isn't to blame for this lose. The blame is entirely on Vey's shoulders. Scores onhis own net, and then ignores the puck to get off and malkin with his perfect snipe to tie. But you can also blame WD for still putting him out there. WTF is WD thinking?
- Retinalz

Can't get there. The Vey own goal was only 3-2. Lots of time for Miller to shut the door. But he is always good for the tying goal late...always. Why would Vey worry about Malkin from that angle? Malkin should never score glove high from that angle and Miller out of position with no stick down on goal 4...don't care if he saw it or not standard goaltending like Garrett said...get your bloody stick down. Sorry man...that one was all Miller.

He will decline when we are ready to compete. Trade while value is high.

I feel worse for Horvat

Blame Edler , he's the (frank)ing idiot that bounced the shot of Vey. If that tool could aim a shot we win this game. Instead he stands in front of miller and screens him for another goal. (frank)er is useless
- Bullfrog77

Bottom line is as bad as our D is their confidence level looks so much different in front of Miller than Markstrom. Painfully obvious. Our D know that with Miller in regardless 3-4 are going in. With Markstrom they are more comfortable and confident that Markstrom can keep the game to 2 goals allowed or less...big difference in how the D plays and it's so obvious.

Valid point. But do you think Benning trades him? He's a big part of this team and if he JB believes we can make the playoffs I just don't see him being moved

This thread reminds me of Tortorella, every game day someone ends in the doghouse. Deserved or not.

He could be an off season deal. Thats the benefit to players with term and a low cap hit.

Trading Hansen signifies a rebuild. Tearing down a team of good core players won't help the kids. Its gotta be an awesome offer to move Hansen.

I know some are looking to blame someone, but I found the game entertaining, and it was a very good 6 games.

Quite simple really when Burke made a mastestroke on that draft.
Never having #1 overall pick cuz never sad enough to be the Oilers or Avs or Hawks or the Pens beats watching sad sack hockey for years. Rather see a competitive team year in n year out anyday. If nothing else the simple fact we can push for the PO whilst integrating so many kids n call ups bodes well for the future.
