He does stupid things 2-3 times a ear. You know that when you sign him. - VANTEL
He's a roid monkey rager. Got serious mental issues. I didn't realize his dad committed suicide in the summer. |

I just wish someone would not go after Lucic after this, turn and drop their glove and sucker punch Kopitar. Knock him out, and point to Lucic and say that's on you pal.
The guy is a (frank)ing bully, and total piece of poop. He needs to be put in his place. - Scooby_Doo
Would be nice |

10 players of 600 that size in the NHL . The odds are not stacked in his favour |

Odds don't really mean much. Either he makes or he doesn't. 10 players means there is a player that size on 33% of NHL teams.
Not sure what the difference (I do actually) would be in Subban vs Weber. |

Weber is 3 inches taller. Weber is also coming to realize now he is not NHL material.
You need to be a special player and win most puck battles if you are going to be. 5'8 NHLer. |

Wiki has him 185. Who knows, maybe he's more. Depends on the site and when he was weighed last. |

I don't really have an issue with what he did, Connauton gave him a little slash and he reacted, he defended his territory, that's how he gets time, space and respect in those scoring areas.
Truthfully Lucic isn't a "talented" player, he just not afraid to get to this hard areas and takes no poop while he's in there. What's wrong with that? |

Really? I respect when he plays big and hits hard, even the slash on the back of the legs I'm good with, but cold clocking someone in the side/back of the head? That's just one of those roid monkey moves you expect on Granville street Fridays.
I agree though he isn't talented. His size/skill/whatever is going to decline. There was talk yesterday about how the speed of the Canucks was starting to impress, and having him here is not anywhere in that vein. I think it'd be a pretty big mistake to sign him for what he's going to command on the open market. |

I'm not saying it wasn't a dirty play, it was, although you can see in the replay Connauton knew he was coming. Players hit/punch each other all the time, as I said, that's how he gets his space to operate.
Even if he gets a game for a headshot it's worth it to him because it helps him operate in the league. Brad Marchand punched Daniel in the head five times with his glove on in 2011, was he even penalized? Players punch each other in scrums every game, it's only because it's Lucic it's a story....my opinion. |

That's a load of crap. He barely tapped him. You think that gives him the right to go up behind a guy and punch him in the side of the head? |

I like Hamonic too but you have to be able to see the intangibles here. He has had 'one' good season...one. Sure he has an injury this year but really he is on pace for Hamhuis like numbers this season. Sorry but you don't move a player with McCanns upside for a dman (while very good) who may or may not ever repeat that one good season. I agree we need Dmen badly but there is too much 'maybe' involved. If you are moving McCann gotta have a sure thing coming back. - LordHumungous
He's not the offensive dman we want he's like a Mark Edourd Vlasic type who's great positionally, hard to play against in front of the net, and occasionally can drop the gloves. If he's already considered one of Canada's best dman why wouldn't we want to get him. I'm not sure I want to give up McCann either so this trade wouldn't really fly for me but another one would. |
