No it's showing 2 mil savings on the 3 mil cap hit. That is why it says -2.000,000 on 2017 and + 1 difference on 2018.
The buy out is always just 2/3 of the remaining contract spread out evenly over the years - VANTEL
Right it's -2mil off the 4.5 cap hit so leaving a cap hit of 2.5.
3mil is not the cap hit it's 4.5, 3 mil is just salary.

I'd still rather get rid of him and buyout is the best option |

This might be one of those deals Burr and a 2017 fourth rounder for a seventh rounder |

Tortarella taken to hospital with broken ribs after "collision" in practice. I am not laughing but I don't feel to sorry either. - thundachunk
Never met the guy but judging from his interviews he is the type of coach i always hated playing. So I thought it was hilarious |

Benning has been winning all his trades. Baertschi looks good. Etem looks good. Vey is getting better. Prust......meh....Bonino sucks with his new team, Richardson sucks with his new team, Matthias sucks with his new team, Eddie Lack sucks with his new team, Bieksa sucks with his new team, Clendening and Kassian got traded again. Benning is GODLIKE! - BeatStriker
I never liked the Vey deal but he is getting better. Lack is a number 1 goalie on a team in the playoff picture, he had a rough start cus they tried to alter his game since theyve left him alone he has been playing really good hockey. The Clendening trade sucked no matter if he went on to another team or not. |

I wonder if NJ would be interested. Most of their forwards were on one way deals. this season if im not mistaken. Its too bad he got so slow because I really like what he brings to the team but at this point he is taken a roster spot from a young guy or John Scott if I had my way |

Torts was actually AT practice? Are we sure tsn? No typo?
Goes to show he's so used to not being there he has an on ice accident once he starts showing up.

Love this lol
Great job carol
Love the team now so much youth great job Benning. We need a number 1 league wide dman which we have never had and we can probably fill the rest in. Assuming we sign stammer........ lol
Edit. We need to draft Chychrun and at least give us a shot at a real dman. Trade Eddie after this year for a 1st and a good prospect an we are starting to get beauty amounts of depth |

I wouldnt mind trading Edler this season. I think it would kill any chance of making the playoffs though.
Anahiem has some prospects.. Maybe Edler and Vrabata for one of their young Dmen and a first or prospect |

Lidster will coach him into Paul Coffey. - A_SteamingLombardi
There is a better chance that Mama June is gonna coach Honey booboo into the next Cindy Crawford. |

Edler is going nowhere until the number 1 spot has been taken over.
We are trying to fill holes, not make bigger ones |

Haha I know. He was actually projecting really well to be a #1 and then plateaued right off. Good top 4, probably 2-3 guy. Just isnt consistent or dominant like a #1 should be |

He has a toxic contract if he is scoring 8 goals a year . He has a decent contract if he is scoring 18 goals a year.
His actual salary is 3 mil next year . If you could get Canucks to swallow that 1.5 cap hit then it becomes a better looking deal . - VANTEL
Perspective,
Take a look at Dustin Brown's contract. |

True, but i don't think its much of a coincidence that we have seen our shots against skyrocket in his absence. |

You have really high hopes on a smooth transition for Tryamkin. The guy has 28 points in 180 career games in the KHL, including only 11 in 45 this year. He still is considered a project prospect by most, even after his Spengler Cup performance, so for people to pencil him into the lineup within the next 2 years I think is ambitious - WhiteLie
perhaps that is correct.
at this point its exciting to try someone new. See how he develops here if he comes. Never know, could end up a superstar. |

In one game we remove a slower Prust and Cracknell shots go down by 19 from the game before.
I blame a lot of the shots on the forwards too. |

Exactly. Ive said the same thing previously. Everyone here wants a new D yet are trading off our best D men for picks.
Terrible way to go about it if you want a turn around. |
