In practice, it doesn't work.
Why on earth would Kopitar/Carter or whatever skilled guy agree to tangle with a 4th line gooner.
All you would be doing is retaliating, chasing, taking another penalty and potentially putting the game out of reach.

There was a game Lindy Ruff sent his fourth line out at the start of a game against Ottawa ( I think) , soon as the puck was dropped Buffalo's goons dropped the gloves and started pounding Ottawas top line players. Ruff looked right over to Ottawa and said Payback. It sent a very clear message , you attack our top players we go after yours. That's all I am saying. Go after the Sedins we go after Kopitar.

I hope you find the irony like we do. A Leaf fan who's team has made the playoffs once in 11 years ( shortened season) giving us lessons and lectures about drafting and development.

I often make the comparrison like going to Hastings and Main and asking a person on the corner for financial advices.

I was wondering who we take if we have the 10th pick. The top 5 forwards and top 3 Dmen will all be gone. No defensemen worth taking really at 10 unless you go with fabro he is around there in some lists. Will be between mcleod, dubois and guathier i think.

If no Dmen are around Im hoping for a big center or big scoring winger.

Just read that Botchford article in the province about Drouin. After the rumor was Bo for Drouin he claims he asked some people in the league if they would make that deal and all said no they would keep Bo. Im a big Bo fan but interesting that 2 years later Drouin has fallen that out of favour with people in the league.

I thought Juolevi, Chychrun, Sergachyov, Mathews, Nylander, Tkachuk, Laine, Poujarvi would all be gone at 10. Ive watched Fabro play and wasnt overly impressed so if that was the case id be shooting for Mcleod or Dubois I think.

The team needed toughness. Like I said earlier he has all 10 of the teams biggest hits this year. Same as Komerov is one of Leafs best players and most productive, so will Vitanen be.

We have the Sedins Skill along with Horvat, we needed grit. That is what we got

I am hoping we pick for Sergachyov TBH, looks like a solid RHD which is always needed in the league, though if we are in a possition to get chych we take him. only way we don't take D is if we pick top 3 imo.
