I am hoping we pick for Sergachyov TBH, looks like a solid RHD which is always needed in the league, though if we are in a possition to get chych we take him. only way we don't take D is if we pick top 3 imo. - Retinalz

Ya I think exactly the same. If top 3 you take anyone of them and walk way laughing. If picking 10 I think Sergachyov is the most likely Dman to slide and he is putting up better numbers than Chychrn and Joulevi too. I just hope we dont draft past 10 cus thats where it seems to drop off.

Vegas baby...in control.
Remarkable how quick those striking refs were back to work a few years back when Vegas lost $320 000 000 on that Monday nighter where the replacement refs botched that end zone call Sehawks vs Packers...
Did someone say Stamkos was offered 8.5 by TB yesterday? - VANTEL
The report was something weird like "the offer started with 8 whether that means 8.9 bla blah" I think it was Bob Mac though, I can't remember it was a couple days ago
Lindens legacy was def worth it all. No cup run without him.
BUt he stands here today as our president as a shining example to players about work ethic and being that clutch player that carries the team.
If we got Stammer and drafted all D, rebuild complete IMHO. Not competing until some of those d produce at NHl level, but Stamkos gives us our future allstar replacement of Sedins, and he will be under 30 still in his prime when he does. I think we have all the supporting pieces we need to compete for the cup, just need a #1C(or allstar winger, bo can handle #1 C if he has talented wingers) and a #1 D(I think we will get him this year unless Benning screws up the draft and focuses on forwards like his last 2)

If he makes it to free agency, I wouldn't be surprised if Toronto offers as much as they possibly can under the rules and regulations of the CBA.
I'd also image that TSN and Sportsnet are hoping that he doesn't get resigned before the TDL. Could be a good day to take the day off work - PetrolSexual
TO does not have as much in cap space. They need to sign a lot of RFAs
They need to sign and resign 11 roster spots we need about 6

#1 D's usually pop up around age 25...so about 6-7 years after drafting them. You will never be able to draft a #1 D and have them step right in...take a look at Tyler Myers development.
Hopefully Benning drafts well, but he really needs to steal a good Dman on July 1st. Say you want about Gillis, he went out and got us some solid Dmen along with some out-of-the-park forwards (Erhoff, Hamhuis...who I'm incidentally not a big fan of, but whatever...he was a consensus good signing at the time).
Disagreeing with Canucks fans in thread is trolling. Now I know and it won't happen again. - ClarksonDavid
Hey, I'll let you know we have a long history of leafs fans coming here and extreme trolling. It gets really bad. Backs go up due to this.
If your intention is truly to speak hockey then continue, but just know that the history here shows all leafs fans come here with bad intent, so people are edgy. Its not that you disagreed.
But it got so bad we had to have a special referee assigned to get rid of the leafs trolls. So welcome, but step out of bounds and you'll get tossed.
