I just wonder if he is still a top 10 player. Hes not at the top of the scoring race although that could be becuase of the injuries theyve had.

There was a game Lindy Ruff sent his fourth line out at the start of a game against Ottawa ( I think) , soon as the puck was dropped Buffalo's goons dropped the gloves and started pounding Ottawas top line players. Ruff looked right over to Ottawa and said Payback. It sent a very clear message , you attack our top players we go after yours. That's all I am saying. Go after the Sedins we go after Kopitar.

we had that debate I think in the summer. Salo was mentioned in high regard by many. Ohlund was I believe the best by end of discussion. Lumme was amazing offensively.

Its time to fill that slot with someone hands down the winner.
Only chance anyone has from current roster, and this is a stretch as its his rookie year is hutton since hes an unknown with promise.

If we got Stammer and drafted all D, rebuild complete IMHO. Not competing until some of those d produce at NHl level, but Stamkos gives us our future allstar replacement of Sedins, and he will be under 30 still in his prime when he does. I think we have all the supporting pieces we need to compete for the cup, just need a #1C(or allstar winger, bo can handle #1 C if he has talented wingers) and a #1 D(I think we will get him this year unless Benning screws up the draft and focuses on forwards like his last 2)

Might be able to get someone who hasnt yet made the jump then your trading two guys based on potential. Our lack of defense is as bad as the oilers.

Mcann isn't a #1 centre...so you're not gunna get a #1 D back is the point. Prospective D for a prospective centre could sure be done, but I'm not sure it helps you today.

Leafs have about 25 mil in space with 10 players signed. You could sign Stamkos for 10 mil that leaves 15 mil left to sign 12 players. Included in that is Morgan Rielly , Kadri and to find a goalie. I could see Kadri and Morgan eating at least 9 mil of that. Even if you move Kadri you still need to bring in a 1/2 centre.
