They had an awful first month ...haven't been too bad since ...until the last week ...starting to struggle again tho ...I'm not sure if they have had a goalie steal them a win yet either
- Redmile247

I was hoping for more from the team. Young teams have set backs. They are still heading in a good direction

Whats wrong with the flames? I thought they would have been better than last season.

Flames played way above their talent level. They won despite their poor adv stat numbers. Total anomaly. No way they were going to repeat that.

Ya but the young guys are a year older and the defense improved I really thought the battle for third would have been between them and the oilers. SJ is playing better than I thought to be honest.

Ummm... that's just wrong. I agree with the general sentiment though.

Another shutout for Crawford.
He could win the Vezina.

The young guys on the Flames continue to have success. Love that youth core. But it was the 'role players' that were unbelievable. Even guys like Ferland stepped up and played above their talent level. So many guys had career years that it would have been hard to repeat.

SJ is a total enigma for me. I never know what to expect and I've been watching them for a long time. I've learned never to bet on them. Too hard to predict.

Schneider
Luongo
Crawford
Holtby

Luongo probably misses out on nomination because of his contract.

Very true on both counts.

Funny I had the pacific finishing: ducks, kings, flames, oilers, canucks, sharks, yotes

Was I ever wrong

They added better players in frolik and Hamilton and and were getting a full year out of Sam Bennett ...it wasn't so far fetched to think they could repeat a 95+ season ...

Be interesting to see what teams that aren't the Kings will do at the deadline ...who thinks they can make it and who thinks long term

Agree Linden was the choice. No cup final team in 94 without him and if Garys refs would have given us a fair shake in gm 7...what could have been.
- LordHumungous

Definitely a conspiracy theory here, as if they had followed the stanley cup days off schedule game 7 would have been on the Monday night instead and the Rangers said themselves that if they had to play Monday night they might have been too tired to play really well.

Still would have chosen Linden in that draft.

Gardiner Express is such a loser. Over there bragging how their prospects are better than ours as they will miss their 11 th of 12 years out of the playoffs

Remember how high they were on Kadri and Gardiner.
I watched a bit of their game last night, god awful team. No one to be excited about at all...other than a player from Vancouver...

We've got 6-8 young kids playing on the team, and gaining valuable experience. Our young players are way better than theirs, it's not even close.

Not to mention we have two stud young goalies and they have absolutely no one.
