I watched a bit of their game last night, god awful team. No one to be excited about at all...other than a player from Vancouver...

Since expansion we have just as many cups as they do .
Vancouver also won a cup back in the day when they were using horse turds as hockey pucks and newspapers for goalie pads. Gad they are ridiculous . They have not won a cup in modern day NHL

Interesting take on the Linden draft class.

As tantalizing as the idea of Selanne and Bure together is, or the idea of Blake as the foundation of the defense would have been, I think Linden was the right pick. And frankly, I was never a Linden fan-boy. Looking back though, he was just the right guy at the right time for the franchise. Much like Horvat might be in the next generation, the team needed a grounded, heart and soul guy to rally around. Never the most talented guy in the room, but a likable, relate-able kid who works hard and is skilled enough to get results.

Linden may be the 6th or 7th best player taken that year, now that it's all said and done, but I think he was the right choice for this team, and this fanbase.

As for Linden v3.0, Team President... I wonder what Jeremy Roenick is doing these days.
