I would love Shaw, to me, that's a pipedream - airjan23
Yeah he's one of the few good contracts that team has. |
|

One more thing, in case I haven't mentioned it, this notion that the Rangers live by whereby they need to trade a player if he is to be an UFA or even an RFA and there is doubt as to which he will return is ridiculous. Play it out and see what happens. Why damage your team in the short term and maybe the long term by boxing yourself into the corner, whereby a trade is required? It's an odd way of dealing with the situation. |

Yandle for Shaw is a pipedream? They can't pay everyone . Panarin is getting an extension. I would love Teravainen but that's even more of a dream than Shaw. |

Why must you make me cry?
I pick Cappy. He has a lot more talent to work with than those other two. |

So you would let Yandle walk for nothing even if they know they can't re-sign him once he becomes a UFA?
I guess you would have to believe that Yandle in the playoffs is the piece that would help get a cup, and without him there is no chance. |

I'd rather hang onto Yandle for the playoffs than trade him for someone like Mark Letestu, that had to be one of the dumber ideas I have seen someone utter in any blog ever.

Rangers have Kreider, Hayes and Miller to re-sign as well as they are RFAs like Shaw. Only so many the Blueshirts can afford to pay. |

Butchie was a coach as well. Frank this team had some bad Coaches, Owners, and GM's. |

The only way a trade for Yandle works is if they trade for players that they have contractual control over. But the flip side of that is you pretty much given up on a deep playoff run. |

Yea I had to check the date just to make sure he wrote it a day ago like it said because him saying miller must get hot along with kreider and Hayes, I was like, what more does miller need to do? And Letestu? You could get him for like a 3rd-4th! Trade their best chip in Yandle? Guy must be insane |

With the Rangers luck they would somehow pull off a Kane for Yandle swap. As soon as it is finalized the investigation to his rape charges will reappear and he will be convicted. He will never play a game for the Rangers but through some loop hole Rangers will be stuck with the 10.5 million cap hit for the duration of the contract. |

The only way I trade Yandle is if the coaching thinks Skjei will be able to step in.
Also depends where the Rangers are at the deadline and how they are playing. |

On a Yandle trade, straddling the line between competing this year and looking out for the long term benefit of the club will be tough.
