With the Rangers luck they would somehow pull off a Kane for Yandle swap. As soon as it is finalized the investigation to his rape charges will reappear and he will be convicted. He will never play a game for the Rangers but through some loop hole Rangers will be stuck with the 10.5 million cap hit for the duration of the contract.

He can play in the prison league, we can keep track of his stats. I could see him in a 20 game season in the big house putting up 70-140-210

On a Yandle trade, straddling the line between competing this year and looking out for the long term benefit of the club will be tough.

We may have to talk to some expert Straddlers

Yeah, I think after her lawyer said "(frank) this I'm outta here, this is some shady poop."
Kane is pretty much free and clear.

I don't think he could. His PrisYardCorsi is terrible and his ShowerSodomoy/60 is off the charts.

Isn't falsely accusing a man of rape a crime in itself? That's a serious allegation & really taints a man's rep, even when its totally fraudulent.

It's only a false accusation if it can be proven that she intentionally lied.

There's still a really good chance that something happened, but unfortunately for her...the shenanigans put on by her lawyer and her mother torpedoed any case she may, or may not, have had.

To Jan's point, if you trade Yandle, there are basically two types of deals you can make:

1. A prospect/pick deal that allows you the replenish the system, but diminishes your ability to compete this year; and
2. Trading Yandle for a roster player that has some term left on his deal.

In the second scenario, however, you will have to pay that player, right? Meaning that the amount of money you pay him will be less money that you have to use in the Unrestricted Free Agency market.

So, let's say its realistic to trade Yandle for a guy like Shaw. Shaw makes $2.0 million now, and will probably step into the Hags range with a new deal. So, that means you are going to have to pay Shaw $4 million a year to retain him.

Conversely, if you keep Yandle, let him walk as a UFA, and not have to pay an RFA that you acquire as part of the deal, you would that money to use on an UFA.

So, it really isn't losing Yandle for nothing. If you get something for him, you need to pay that guy. If you don't get something for him, then you can use the money on an RFA.

The pick deal would seem to make the most sense long term, because the picks/prospects aren't going to take a bite out of your salary cap next year, when you may be tight.

They hooked up & the sex was consentual is what probably went down. She found out who he was & wanted to make some quick cash.

The only way I trade Yandle is if the coaching thinks Skjei will be able to step in.

Also depends where the Rangers are at the deadline and how they are playing.

- mdw7413

You trade Yandle no matter what yo

I actually went to UB at the same time the alleged victim did. She was captain of the cheer squad.

Beautiful girl but definitely got around.

Hayley Pandolfi bro

I heard through the grapevine like a couple days after the accusation that it was a UB cheerleader. Found out towards the end of the debacle who it was exactly.

Yup, would love to know why these people are never charged. Completely (frank)ed up. They should get the same sentence a guy would get if they were found guilty.

Put simply, making a false accusation of rape is a crime, but very difficult to prove, which is why you don't see much of it.

Obviously, the fact that a women decides not to cooperate or pursue charges isn't necessarily proof that the rape didn't happen, because it the legal process can be punishing for the victim, and some just want to put it behind them.

Only from what I've read about this situation, however, it doesn't seem to fall into this category. Seems kind of shady.

It's possible, but the opposite is also possible. Nobody is ever going to know besides the two of them.

Yep and in the end he's the one making 10.5m a year. Can't see how this investigation ends with him getting locked up.

Rape is one of the worst crimes, just behind child pedophile & murder obviously. I can see where a woman is embarrassed to come forward or simply just doesn't want to relive the details over & over in an investigation & trial. No one will know what happened for real except Kane & the accuser.

In the end he's still an idiot for hooking up w a random girl in a bar but if I had that money & fame & girls threw themselves at me on a consistant basis who knows.

He's had constant run ins and accusations. I'll never forget the whole cab thing where he was in the league maybe a couple years and he's cheap shotting a cab driver over a quarter.

Absolutely, and its why when women make false accusations, they are doing a complete disservice to real rape survivors and should be prosecuted harshly.

I doubt it too, but there really isn't anyone that can speak in absolutes regarding it. The whole "evidence bag" thing absolutely destroyed any credibility she had, whether it was an idea concocted by her or not. She likely didn't stand a chance in front of a jury after that, whether the accusations were legitimate or not.
