this is what is disturbing

plus the tick tack toe goals the rangers got with ease last not

bogo, risto, eichel, skunk, girgens, ror, kane

that is the core

it's good, not great

foligno has played his best stretch of games in a long time recently
- homiedclown

That's great I'm sure he will go back to his Drew Stafford syndrome and forget how to play again

Quote feature not working but I agree with Homie. Foligno is playing with purpose and has an actual identity out there.

I could watch this team suck but with games that actually have scoring. Scoring is fun.

I'd go mcginn, ror, skunk
kane, eichel, girgens

run those lines for a few weeks

- homiedclown

I kinda liked Kane playing w ROR, seems like Kane might finally be on the cusp of beaking out.....id say drop McGinn down when Sam comes back....though he and ROR do seem to have some chemistry

I'll agree he's played better, but as a whole he has so much potential he hasn't lived up to. It could be a product of many things but I've expected more. Not necessarily 50 points, but a solid 30-40 point guy. I hope he can find it

when your shuffled between the 3rd and 4th line, it's tough to get in a groove

3 or 4 years ago, we had hoped he would be a second line player, he's not

you could do a lot worse then him on the bottom half of your roster IMO

In 2010 when we won the division, I'd be shocked if we didn't have a good comeback or two.

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't trade places with that team even though we are still bad, but that is 100% to do with Jack Eichel and Ristolainen being better foundation pieces than we have had in years

- sbroads24

i may have exaggerated a bit, but throughout those years those teams really had trouble beating a top-notch goaltender, much less having to beat him twice in the third period...that was the gist...that said, the 2010 team was predicated upon defense, see miller's vezina trophy...

the key you mentioned was the foundation...Eichel, risto and o'reilly are definitely a part of it...Girgensons and kane probably as well...then there are a lot of question-marks who get exposed against a quality team like the rags...

or maybe I have more patience than others

I might be the only one but I don't like it at all ROR needs to be with someone with some what of a hockey IQ

he put up 20 points in 57 games last season, almost 30 points if you project it for 82 games

and that is what he is, 3rd line player

We will be a good team. No doubt. There are very little signs that this will become a great team though.

People like to point out Corsby's rookie year and how they were really bad, or the Hawks being bad for years, but there is a big difference. We have most of our "team" in their prime right now.

This is a good point. We are under performing but looking at the standing at least we aren't drowning like last year. I know people hate to hear it but only the oilers have more players lost to injury than us. Chemistry isn't there after 2 games together on a line.

they're both parts of 18 skaters and one goalie who play in a game as a team?
