Well currently he is playing with O'Reilly and McGinn who seem to be able to play good together themselves. Should they have to tailor their game to Kane? I don't think so. If he puts those pucks on the goalies pads I think more times than not his linemates WOULD be in good position to bang in a rebound or create a chance. - Sabre_Tooth
I am not saying they should change for Kane, I was asking, do you think the reason his shots are high and wide all the time is him feeling he needed to score.
For whatever reason, communication seems to be an issue with Kane because he does great work and then just ends up throwing it on net (when that is clearly not the play at that time) or does a no look pass, basically to no one.
I am hoping O'Reilly can talk some sense into him. |

Honestly, I think the pressure for him to score goals and "prove" himself is causing this. I think he has done a fair job containing his ego, but the selfishness on the ice isn't helping the team at this point. |

Well early in the season another thing he could not contain was an Eichel pass. He should be on a line with Eichel if he could have scored a few of those empty net goals.
Kane, like pretty much everyone on the team, needs to improve on their weak areas and this will be quiet a team.
Having Kane as the second line LW (in the future) will serve him a lot better.
As a poster said earlier, Kane Eichel Girgensons would be a really mean line.

Honestly, this is just how Kane is. It's how he was in Winnipeg. He will go on stretches where he looks excellent and has a couple shots go in, most of the remaining time he will frustrate you. He was bounced around from 1st to the 3rd line in WPG because it's tough to play with him. |

Hopefully this will change here, doesn't look particularly promising up to this point. |

You said it right there. Rather than pointing the finger at ROR and McGinn, how about trying to play with them...you know passes, shot that actually hit the net. His accuracy is piss-poor, combined with an apparent low hockey IQ is the issue, not communication from his line mates.
In other words, Kane is dumb...I'm not sure if they over communicated he would "get it". |

Must say, while reading you post I was quite intrigued with where it was going....girl up against the glass ... Then I read puppy and it went downhill from there.
Personally, the Sabres should pay a girl to sit topless right behind each goal. Maybe he could hit the net then. Of course, with his IQ, they would need to ensure the one sitting behind Johnson/Lehner is wearing a fur coat buttoned up. Idiot might get confused and take shots at them |

People want/expect more becuase of his name. And the fact that he came in like a wrecking ball. The way he has played over the last 10 games or so is 100% ok with me. - CoHo_to_B-Lo
Yea I just want consistancy. If he can play like he has for 70-82 games a season he will have a long productive career in the NHL. |

this is what is disturbing
plus the tick tack toe goals the rangers got with ease last not
bogo, risto, eichel, skunk, girgens, ror, kane
that is the core
it's good, not great - homiedclown
Boy oh boy I really hope that he isn't considered part of "the core" part deux.
I can not honestly remember one game where I watched him play and thought to myself, "thank God he was included in that trade".
He's a cool dude because of his love for Shepherd's but that's about it for me.
On the ice, he's at best, played like a 3rd pairing guy, IMO. |

We should have held off until the offseason and put an offer out there for Saad |
