1. Terry Pegula - too dumb to see management and coaching are the problem.
2. Tim Murray - bad contracts, bad trades, bad coaching hire.
3. Dan Bylsma - does not react to who is playing well or poorly in any given game and adjusting the playing time accordingly. Can't get half the team to perform to modest expectations, can't figure out line combinations or d pairings messing with what works and allowing players no time to build chemistry. Offensive players in checking roles and vice versa. Risto and Gorges performing well as a pair, had to change that, now Risto and Bogo look lost.
4. Kane - one of the league leaders in ice time with bottom six production to show for it. All the skill and ability to be great, very low hockey awareness.
5. Moulson - very little effort for a player with such terrible production. This really goes back to the coaching problem. He had a bad start and was put into a checking role instead of giving him time to work out his game with offensive players. Not able to form any chemistry but who can blame him with the constant tinkering of lines.

Maybe I just notice it a little more for some reason, not sure.

Stafford would have been gone, that trade happened in the offseason.

Hypothetically we could have offered one of our 1st, and a roster player like Ennis along with a prospect.

You then could have moved Myers in a separate deal

I don't think Ennis, one of those 1st round picks, and the prospect would have been enough.

Ennis is not the big center that Anisimov is, even though their salaries are close, and I am not sure if they had a prospect who had the NHL flash that Dano had.

I'm struggling to think of who they could have come up with that would have been comparable to Anisimov and Dano.

Honesty, I would have had no issues offer sheeting Saad either. He looks like a consistent 25-30 goal guy that plays 2-ways. He's also 23. I'd have no problem with him instead of one of the Finns.

They have more vets (less rookie mistakes) and a significantly better coach (plus hasn't reimer been the best goalie in the league last few weeks/months?)
