Hard to ignore when every second post in the Canuck threads is you freaking out about Edler.

Well it's still your choice, I'd prefer you stayed out of it , you never have anything intelligent to add anyway. Just like to bang your drum and put people down.

Hello, gang.

The new blog is up, with thoughts on Hansen and a jam-packed press box on Tuesday at Rogers Arena.

The Edler hate is so tedious. Why watch Canuck games if you're going to spend the following 2 days covering your screen with rage spittle?

i agree

People too forget he plays huge minutes. Every D makes errors, the large minute guys make more simply by being on the ice huge minutes....simple math. More minutes more errors. So you get guys complaining about it without realizing the low minute guys would make way more than him if they logged the same times.

the sooner people get that the better....calmer too

I am liking this new age GM'ng more and more. I think Talon started it at Chicago and is now doing it in Florida. Leafs started last year as well as Buff. I hope JB gets on it as well.
The process is simple. Unless young players make the team and force your hand, you keep them in the minors. In the off season or at TDL get performers. Pay for them but keep picks. Leafs got guys like Grabner, Winnik, Parrenteau, Boyes, Mathias. Florida got guys like Jagr, Oli, Thorton. These guys are always available for free as UFA. Grab them and give them quality minutes to boost their production and value. They don't always work out but you only need 1-2 to work out. They are almost always a 1-2yr contract guys. If they help you get in the playoffs then great, if not then flip them at TDL for picks and build through that. It speeds up the process.
Quite opposite of what Oilers were doing.
Prust didn't work out but we need players like Lui.

Yeah but the plan is to trade each big minute Dman for 4 equally as good and less expensive Dmen. Then we can dress 12 of them and play them all 10 minutes a night.

It was a terrible line change, I get tired of the Edler hate, I've had my bouts of it too.

The d needs so much work. JB still has lots of work to do.

I didn't actually think the line change, or at least Edlers role in it was that bad anyways.

Nashville wins the draw and get the puck to Neil who is checked by Edler, which breaks his stick.

Edler made a good play here and is now almost at the blue line at this point, in the center of the ice with no stick and Vrbata has the puck in control. Edler is the highest player at this point, with no stick and the puck is in his teammates control, of course he is going to the bench.

Unfortunately Vrbata doesn't get the puck deep and Nashville gets the puck back at the centre ice. There were 4 Nucks on the ice who were in a better position to disrupt the play leading to the goal, so again I don't see how this is Edler's or the Coaching staffs fault.

Vrbata needed to get the puck deeper keep control of the puck and Horvat was completely was unaware of what was happening on the ice and coasts off on a change. If people feel the need to blame players, those should be the targets on this play.
