Would you call it a success if they atleast make the second round of the playoffs for the next ten years? This is an incredibly well built team. It's in a prime position to go on a 10 year run
- Bullfrog77

I doubt they'll accomplish that. I don't even think they'll make the playoffs for 10 straight years, and if they do they're still batting less than 50% at making the playoffs since 2000.

So.....no.

I hope Hansen gets another 10 in his last 33 games. If ever a player deserves to break the 20 mark , he would be high on my list.

I freaked out when they put him on the 1st line. Look at him now.

If he had lot of promise he would be on the Canucks. He is a decent prospect. I am not sure management share your enthusiasm
- VANTEL

not too sure there would have been room for him on canucks yet.

Last I heard he was comets scoring leader. Loved his sniping when he was here a few games, talented.

but I know nothing about Theodore so maybe its worth it?

He is a favourite. I have now raised my value for him in a trade . A first and a high prospect

By the end of the year it will cost McDavid

He only needed to beat out a Higgins . There was room. There is something about him or his game that hasn't convinced JB yet

they were working on his defensive aspect on comets for awhile. It took away from scoring as he adapted. Then his scoring is back as his defense part is more established.
Where they sit on him now who knows.

I do think they were only going to hand a max amount of spots to youngsters. Shink was a late cut before season so he did well.

whats the scoop on theodore? I dont know of him

He is a smaller sniper.
He is behind Vey and Sven.
No room for him in the lineup with our current mix of players.
Higgens plays (played) a total different role.

Higgins played second line. I thought they are expected to score , go to the net , show skill or anything hockey related? Not sure how Higgins got there

If we get lucky and draft Chychrun and sign say Alex Goligoski and Stammer do we go from basement to potential inference semi finalists with the addition of a vet de?

Of course. And we'll all be given unicorns to ride in the Stanley Cup parade. What are you going to name yours?

we dont have the enough talent to start addving vets at this point. All you do by adding now is making us toronto by thinking you are better than you are, if you want 10-15 years of fighting for a playoff spot start adding ufas this year. if you want to compete for the cup you take your few years and build through the draft and when the time is right you add the piece or two that you are missing. Look at what florida has done that is how you build a winner.

The question wasn't about what they did 15 years ago....the question is about what they accomplish going forward. If you can't admit this is a successful rebuild , then I guess there is no such thing as one.

Don't worry about it.
Drafting is a total science.
Get a few early 1st round picks and boom.
Instant dynasty.
Happens all the time.
