Do you know who Stamkos plays with?

Also Giroux versatile but he also realistically shouldn't be killing penalties. He has to. This is all because we bring in randoms and hope for the best, like a Raffl, Bellemare or Vandevelde.

- SuperSchennBros

He should be killing penalties. He is elite at it. I'd want him killing penalties with whoever we had because they wouldn't be better. Bergeron, Toews, Kopitar, Getzlaf, Nash, etc all have no problems doing it.

As for who Stamkos has played with. Short answer: everyone in their top 9, almost equally. He's played the most with Namestnikov, who actually is carrying Stammer at evens. He's played with Callahan, Kucherov, Drouin, Killorn, Filpulla, Palat...most in nearly equal measure or thereabouts. You can look this stuff up yourself. You ask a lot of questions to us about simple facts. Google is your friend.

I think he was saying "i don't want to trade anyone, pause, but for a one for one giroux for stamkos makes sense"

(making up the exact words)

Why shouldnt G be killing penalties? This isnt something he was forced to do because others left or because of injuries. He does it because he is very good at it.

So, I'm assuming you mean that you don't think that Paul Stastny was a superstar.
What about Ryan Suter and Zach Parise?

- jmatchett383

So by me saying "Stastney No", we clearing up my mistake, you need more clarification?

So I start a subject of conversation. People don't agree, so it's okay to act like children and take free shot because the internet tough guys come out in full force daily.

No, sometimes your posts are honestly hard to translate. Just do a quick check before you post, it takes like 5 seconds to glance over it.

Still don't why people want to toss Mason away for a guy who's played (admittedly) remarkably well for 3 months. Mason was the first sign of a truly stable #1 goalie we've had in 13 years and people are ready to ditch him for a guy who's on the hottest streak of his life. I'm not saying Neuvirth can't be a good #1, but can we give him a full year before starting another goalie swap?
- jmatchett383

I just don't feel like paying him what he will probably be looking for. He is also starting to get some nagging injuries now. So many teams need a goalie that for me I would maybe look to sell high to a team that needs a goalie. Calgary always seems to be looking. AZ was looking.

That's just my view.

I'm also using a small screen touch screen and wasn't aware I was being graded.

No excuses, my man. I'm sitting here typing these monster paragraphs on my phone.

You Said "Stastney No." Are you saying that you don't think Stasny is, but that the other 2 are?

That's like somebody asking me if I like bacon, pizza, or wings, and I say, "I don't like bacon." I didn't really answer the question at all, they just know I don't like bacon.

Why are you being so damn defensive. I'm just curious if you think 3 players are "superstars" and all you've told me (I think) is that one is not.

So you are fine with Giroux killing penalties? Because I'm not. I like that Giroux can kill penalties but I want our supporting cast doing this, while G uses his energy in offensive situations, especially because we lack offensively.

So let's just abandon the one solid guy we've had between the pipes in the last 13 years for the dude on the Nittymaki-eqsue hot streak? I'm not saying we can't, it's just a big, bold risk you're taking. And if Neuvirth plays as well as he has bee, he may want more money than Mason would, a la Holtby/Varlamov.

Yeah, he's good but not elite. Couturier and a young Mike Richards were elite.

Flyers offense has actually turned the corner the last couple months. Top half of the league best I believe. Maybe top ten this month. I forget, but it's been good.

You know what has stunk to high heaven for the the last season and a half and could cost them a playoff berth? The penalty kill. Giroux barely played last year. He's only a third pair/faceoff man this year. Frankly, if he saw more PK time it'd help win more games.

Kent Manderville is the clear and obvious comparison point for elite penalty killers.

Giroux is an average at best two way forward at 5 on 5. Maybe slightly above but not elite on the PK.

I DON'T KNOW. You keep kind of but not really answering it, so I don't know. A simple yes or no for each one would have sufficed, and you keep giving non-answers which has dragged this thing out. Please, for my simple, uneducated mind, stop being MJL AND ANSWER THE (frank)ING QUESTION!

Because they were better at positioning and anticipation on the PK than Giroux.

Yes. Sutter and Parise are superstars. I thought this might go without saying if I responded with "Stastney No". I don't know, this how I've spoken to people my whole life and somehow my points came across clear to other people in this sort of scenario.

Jesus Christ!
