I don't like that Giroux has to play a lot on the PK because he's already playing almost 20 minutes per game at ES and on the PP, but his shot suppression numbers are very good.

Even Simon Gagne was taken off the PK at some point. Giroux is on the PK due to a lack of options.

Flyers finished 24th last season with a .5121 Points%.

If they lose in regulation tonight their Points% will be 0.5106 after 47 games.

Last season the Flyers PK was ranked 27th at 77.1%.

This year it's 77.7%.

I agree with the other poster. I'd much rather see Giroux spending his icetime in offensive situations, rather than having to kill penalties, and taking a large amount of D zone draws just because he's the best faceoff guy.
