He isn't terrible, but the ice time management - in particular with the young players has been brutal. Other than Ghost I suppose.

From a coach coming from working with a lot of youth, that's disturbing.

With a lot of youth coming up to the big team I hope he improves that ice time management, and in particular not benching a kid after any mistake. Or playing them with players that do nothing to contribute to their growth.

Perhaps he will, but every player should get a chance, especially on a rebuilding team. Not just the "big name" prospects.

Have to ask a few questions. What role is that young player going to play, and how much ice time will he get. Will he be relegated to the bench late in games when the score is tight? Bring him up when you can commit to playing them. That time is not now.

I don't agree that the time is not now to try a kid like Weal. as far as sitting late in the game, well, Umberger has sat late in the game.

and with williams, and now richards on the team, it's a guarantee that the caps will finally win a cup.

It's a complete travesty that Weal isn't playing. One of the biggest coaching blunders in the history of the sport.
