Just saw on Twitter that Ovechkin and Towes are suspended for skipping the All Star Game. If that's true then it's really another nail in that coffin. Make it an Alumni game. Fans can vote alumni players that represent the team. I'd rather watch that and it gives the players a rest.

I don't know if they would have at the time, but had this happened and then he declined they would have been almost forced to.

It's a dumb situation. Players don't want to play in it. They'd rather have time off to recover. It'll never happen but less games and more breaks would be the best thing for them. The season is a marathon, take 10 games away and start the playoffs earlier. Problems solved but less money for owners.

I was ecstatic when we got him. I thought we had a steal. Just wish he had been developed properly. End of the day, however, it comes down to him getting it done. Zads was the center of that trade for them but Grigo turning into a good player would be really nice for Colorado.
