I've found myself doing the same, it's a different boat to be in: if they win and are pushing for the playoffs, that's great experience for the young guys; if they lose and get a higher pick out of it, works just as well for next year... at least the kids are coming up in a competitive environment.

i would never make that trade. tanev is hands down the best player in that deal, thats not even close for me.

I don't know if Pitts has a 1st this year.

I think it's more realistic to trade them to diff teams, otherwise that's a lot of salary for one team to add.

If people want a quick turn around were going to have to give up alot more to get someone on the verge of making it and showing well while doing so. Because our D is so poop if we want young guys back there about the age of horvat etc were going to take risks and get creative. We need 2 guys with top 4 potential minimum. If you can get one for hamhuis make it happen.

The only player that is better on the Canucks side is Tanev and it is not as big as you think it is.
