The fact that he seems human probably helps a lot. I'll wait and see how economic and social plans turn out before I pass judgement, can't really comment this early.

I will say the fact that he seems to recognize the country is made up of living breathing people, and it's not just some machine he needs to keep running is refreshing though. Whether or not he's too committed to that viewpoint remains to be seen, but Harper was definitely of the other extreme. You need balance, which is apparently hard to come by.

No doubt.

But it's going to go bald at some point, for one reason or another, and it doesn't seem like anyone's buying hats. Obviously it's not easy, but from an outside perspective it seems like it's not very high up on anyone's priority list. Provincially it's a huge issue, but it's not like the rest of the country doesn't feel it too.
