wait, so do I understand correctly that Mark Streit is NOT in the HOF? - BulliesPhan87
No, because he never scored 30 goals. Then again, neither did Patrick Roy and he's in there. |

Yes. Yes you are!! You brought upvthe names to make your point! - SuperSchennBros
Okay. I am not comparing.
I was stating that its okay to be elite without being a great scorer. I was showing EXAMPLES of guys who were not goal scorers over their careers.
God dammit, why am I still trying? |

Thing about Gostisbehre is he can uncork a shot for not a huge guy.
I don't think Sanheim has that cannon. - J35Bacher
True. However, Sanheim is the better skater of the 2. The kid can flat out fly.

We could very easily close this debate with a Jake Voracek HERO chart, and then spend countless pages arguing the merit of a HERO chart. - jmatchett383

Now if Provorov, Morin and Sanheim would just get here, we'd actually have a quality D. - BiggE
How many of them will ever score 30 goals, thereby making them elite? |

All kidding aside, Ghost could one day come close. Especially if they ever increase the time of the 3 on 3 OT period to further cut down on breakaways.

Scott Hartnell scored over 30 goals once, I'd like to insert him into the elite conversation |

I keep hearing the McDonagh and Duncan Keith comparisons, but I think he is more J-Bo.
Maybe J-bo with more flair? |

Yeah, my best guess on who is gone is:
Medvedev is not re-signed after this season and either Streit or Schultz, more likely Schultz due to his relatively low cap hit, is moved before next season. That would leave them starting 16-17 with a top 6 of: Streit, MDZ, Gudas (I think he gets re-signed), Ghost, Provorov and AMac, with either Alt or Manning as the #7. I think that during the season Streit will be moved and his spot will go to Morin. However, if they don't think they want to spend the $$$ to re-sign him, they could move MDZ and keep Streit to be a mentor to the kids.
Hopefully, after 16-17, they will be able to deal AMac (with some likely salary retention) and that will open up another roster spot for someone, likely to be Sanheim. - BiggE
All believable, but here is mine.
Medvedev is traded unless the Flyers have a significant injury or make it back into playoff position towards the end of Feb. I have to hope someone would take him if the plan is to just let him walk anyway.
Streit is around until next seasons TDL. I was pretty certain of this, but the Flyers play while he was out make me less certain. He could be moved tomorrow and I would be happy.
Schultz is similar to Streit, but I think someone would take him.
AMac I think gets drafted by Las Vegas
Gudas is resigned as well as Manning...they are the two that need to be 6/7 guys for me
MDZ I think is emerging as the veteran leader of the defense. I hope he stays throughout the transition
Likelihood to be moved soonest to latest: Medvedev, Schultz, Manning (to waivers), Streit, AMac, Gudas, MDZ |

Well if he turns into Duncan Keith that would be well beyond awesome. We'll just have to wait and see. All I know for sure is that he is big, still filling out, has great reach, skates like the wind and is very highly skilled. It's a pretty good start!

I think Medvedev is moved at the TDL no matter where they are. Has a skillset teams could use but just don't see him being resigned.
I could see Streit moved if they get a good offer. If not probably next TDL.
Schultz could be moved if they get a good offer.
