Well if he turns into Duncan Keith that would be well beyond awesome. We'll just have to wait and see. All I know for sure is that he is big, still filling out, has great reach, skates like the wind and is very highly skilled. It's a pretty good start! - BiggE
Medvedev is traded unless the Flyers have a significant injury or make it back into playoff position towards the end of Feb. I have to hope someone would take him if the plan is to just let him walk anyway.
Streit is around until next seasons TDL. I was pretty certain of this, but the Flyers play while he was out make me less certain. He could be moved tomorrow and I would be happy.
Schultz is similar to Streit, but I think someone would take him.
AMac I think gets drafted by Las Vegas
Gudas is resigned as well as Manning...they are the two that need to be 6/7 guys for me
MDZ I think is emerging as the veteran leader of the defense. I hope he stays throughout the transition
Likelihood to be moved soonest to latest: Medvedev, Schultz, Manning (to waivers), Streit, AMac, Gudas, MDZ - YuenglingJagr
The only part of this that I don't think could likely happen is AMac being taken in the expansion draft. Even an expansion team wouldn't want that contract!
Scott Hartnell scored over 30 goals once, I'd like to insert him into the elite conversation - BulliesPhan87
No, he was a Flyer and no Flyers are ever elite. That's why we need to trade everyone and rip apart the entire management structure and get some elite guys in here.
Of course, once we get these elite guys, they'll be Flyers and therefore not elite anymore, so we need to trade everyone...

True. However, Sanheim is the better skater of the 2. The kid can flat out fly. - BiggE
Agree.
I am eager to see Provorov full time.
Biggest thing is he just has the mental maturity I think that is beyond his age. So I don't see him really going into big prolonged slumps, even as a rookie

They need to shove all their players in a bingo ball machine....spin it...then have a middle aged woman dressed in the style of 5 years ago drop one out onto the ice pregame and continue that process until they have a team to play each night
He was fantastic last night overall. However, that pass to Gagner that led to the first Caps goal was a hot potato. Gagner needs to be harder on the bouncing puck, but that's a high risk pass to make.

Seriously.
I was really happy with how well Ghost played defensively last night. Especially seeing that much time against the most dangerous forward alive. - jak521
yeah, but the caps were off for like 1987 straight days and had no legs and they weren't gelling or on their game and didn't have any energy and it was an admiral ackbar situation going into the all star break with a clearly lower bodily injured alex ovechkin so gost's performance needs to be taken into context and literally means nothing so stop with the hyperbole of everything. seriously.

It was still a good caps team.
He played well. No one is proclaiming he is the number 1 defenseman the team has been looking for but he did play more minutes and didn't look out of place.
Also the clearly lower body injure ovechkin didn't look like he was that hurt. He was dangerous at time.

Carolina might need it before that. They are losing a lot of salary after this season. - Feanor
Yeah but they need to spend it on forwards....they only have 12 players under contract for next year. I was hoping the Flyers could use them as a Vinny destination but that is no longer necessary!
Eric Staal will be back I bet but they could entice some big name FAs that want to be overpaid
