Literally just watched a video on them. One was frozen, and then thawed after 30 years and successfully regained all normal functions.

Ghost and Prov
Morin and Sanheim

I'm very excited about the d-prospects too.
But I hope we can collectively temper expectations. I hope they all come up and do well. But sometimes these kids, regardless of the fanfare, don't pan out. And if Hextall feels as though they have enough blueline depth with Mark Friedman, Mark Alt (more suited possibly for 5th/6th d-man minutes) and Robert Hagg all in the mix too, why not package one of these guys now while they have great "potential" for a proven top-six left winger?
I mean -- ideally, they'll keep one or two veterans on D to shepherd in the prospects (Del Zotto?)
That would leave 4 or 5 spots for 7 skaters -- Gostisbehere, Morin, Sanheim, Provorov, Hagg, Friedman, Alt.

If the leafs took back andy mac, would you be interested in trading for dion phanuef?
What else would the flyers have to add? - rinaldo
I actually like Phaneuf but I think your still having to give high picks and assets like Sanheim.

Dion Phaneuf is overpaid, but TML was put in a tough spot with him. That said, if we're gonna pay AMac $5M, I'd rather pay Phaneuf $7M. I wouldn't add anything else, though. Unless they wanted Umberger, too. |

Do you think the leafs would make that one for one swap?
Dion can still play; though clearly doesn't have to be him. While not a true #1 imo the flyers need to bring in someone to help the process along while these young guys are filtered into the lineup. Having them on entry level deals will allow them to do that while hopefully one develops into that true #1 we all hope for. |

Wait a second.... The NHL suspends players for not going to the all-star game?
With that suspension, I assume they miss one game check.
So it's costing Toews 167k, and Ovie 121k not to show up at the all-star game? Is this correct? WTF!??? |

Trading strictly depends on the situation.
Who are we looking at trying to get via trade.
Would it be smarter to hold on to all of the d- prospects and build forwards through the pipelines as well?
If we are 3-4 years away from really making our next big push, We can develop our own forwards (sorta how Washington has done it).

Yes sir. Remember when Detroit did it with Datsyuk, Zetterberg and Lidstrom?
I think all three anyway |

I believe the rule is that if they aren't on IR and are missing the game due to an injury, they must sit out their team's first game after the all star break. I don't think they are docked any pay though.
