Friedman is a long-shot prospect. Yes, the ceiling is high, but there are a lot of factors that work against him.
Looking at the Flyers problems (speed, scoring, PK, LW) -- I think it's a gamble I'd be willing to take.
I understand the concerns, and I'm not advocating going back to the Homer era of throwing away prospects and picks willy-nilly (a word that is greatly underused) -- but if the targeted player addresses specific needs to the club, I think it could work.
But then again -- I'm not a GM. And I don't think Mr. Hextall will be taking my call anytime soon. - Moose_15
How is he a long shot prospect? Please elaborate. |

I think he was referring to Ghost, saying they hit on one small d-man in the 3rd, what are the chances of it happening again. |

How is he a long shot prospect? Please elaborate. - rinaldo
I think he's a long shot because he is relatively low on the pecking order, after the big 4, and some of Hagg, and Alt. Also, Wilcox and Myers are racing up the charts as well. 'm not saying he's got no shot, but he's far from an A+ prospect. |

Yes. They already hit big on the first one -- Gostisbehere.

Probably because he's significantly undersized for a Dman and lacks the blazing speed of a Sanheim or the off the charts skill of Ghost. |

The Flyers are the best in the NHL at drafting players named "Terrance Amorosa." |

Yep.
Why bother getting worked up in any way over an exhibition game unless someone is making you pay for it or you're actually excited for it.
Should never engender negativity. - mayorofangrytown
Why? Because it interrupts the regular season. It is insane and asinine to have an exhibition game in the middle of the regular season. |

Is it not fair to say that Freidman has also shot up the charts? Forget the big 4 as that has no bearing on whether he is a long shot or not |

Flyers are the best team at trading "retired" players currently on an active roster who are already elected into the HoF and working for the NHL. |

156. Unless they add these things differently than other teams or are just bad at math. |

Gonna stick my neck out pretty far on this one...but I have to say Lauren Hart is wearing off on me. I just don't love it every game. It really boils down to her sing "and the home..." as if it were one word. Wouldn't be considered elite in my opinion

Maybe 15 lbs. lighter.
But I attribute that more to the freshman 15, though. |

I don't think he is as long shot as people state.
He is a sophomore in college. Gostisbehere wasn't this great prospect until his junior year when he started to dominate and people could see the skill.
Also he is playing at bowling green so he isn't getting the same attention as union or other big name schools.
I would rather hang on to my assets, unless it is something like youth for youth, that fits a need. |
