You're trading a 1st overall pick for a 60 point player...Skunk eventually moves to center I think and ROR plays the left side...the need for RWers is still bigger as there is not one true RWer on the team. Ennis was drafted as a center as was Skunk and Girgensons...

I guess it also comes down to what you think of Matthews. If you're in the he's better than Eichel category you turn down all deals. Important to note that if they were to draft him they'd probably develop him as a winger not a centre which may play a factor in what they'd do with pick.

But if it's between picking matthews and picking that deal I think I'd have to go with the deal (though admittedly id struggle with it).

I mean it makes sense on all angles to make that trade....just for me Ryan Murray would have needed to prove more by now. He looks like he's turning into a good/not great player
