If Miller starts the majority of those games you can kiss the PO's goodbye. Markstrom we have a shot.

Go Miller

Bottom 7

1 Mathews
2 Laine
3 Puljujarvi
4 Segachev
5 Juolevi
6 Chechryn
7 Tkachuk
8 Gauthier
9 Nylander
10 Tufte

This is how I would draft

I think we end up picking 14th but I hope it's more like 20.

I also think your D are too high and that Keller will end up in the top 10, although I really hope we don't pick him in the top 10 if we get the chance.

The return of Henrik, Sutter and Hamhuis and the next 5 games against Clb, Cal, Col, Ari and Tor will quite possibly put us back in the playoff mix.

After that we have SJ 5 times and 5 against Col, Ari, Anh and Nsh, if they can win that 10 game "series" against our direct competition I think playoff's are a sure thing.

- belcherbd

Except they are better teams and we won't beat them. We're not even a 500 club people. Have no fear, we will not make the playoffs this season

Hard to argue with the second part but I think some team see's him as the real deal.

I'll stick with the pro scouts on this one, but neat list.

We are already smallish down the left side, let someone else get him. He is a good fit on the Leafs

Ladd on the Canucks? I don't see it. I think he would be good on the Hawks or Caps.

Anyone spending 4 years or more is asking for trouble. 5.5 is max salary also

Nah leafs need some size, maybe that was the joke. All the top forwards in this draft are pretty good size though. Mathews, The Finns Tkachuk. Nylander isn't small either. Gauthier

Of course not, they never had rasmus ristolanen collectively in their top-10 even though no one in NA had ever heard of him. Nor trouba, reilly, , ... any of the d-men drafted in the top-ten really. I agree, we as fans should draft, professional scouts. What do they know. Dougie Hamilton never made team Canada WJC at 17, so obviously he is/was a bust. Neither did Morgan Rielly, how do these guys have jobs?

Alex Nylander? Pretty sure he's 6'1. Nice effort at chirping? ...

When you desire/hope your team will get a top-10 draft pick, you are in fact pro-tank.

Sincerely,

I'm just a pragmatist.
Which i see as different than those that hope/cheer for us to lose games.

I get stoked when we win.
I accept it when we lose.
I hope that we get the best draft pick possible, should we miss the playoffs (which i believe we will for a number of reasons).

I agree.
It seems to me that that forwards with high end ceiling's tend to go top 8.

3 Dmen in top 7 probably won't happen.

Pretty hard to really guess the draft order until you see the teams picking order.

Don't be fooled there are only 3-4 high end forwards then it drops to above average forwards.

4 of 5 are correct. I don't really consider Nylander a difference maker . He drops into the lower category of above average.

Marwood - my tasks with the government are "time valued", whatever that means, when I finish early I can just leave but still get eight hours pay, so is it ok to post during business hours when I'm done early?
