IF Yandle can fetch us a guy for our Top 6 I say def goodbye to KY. McIlrath is ready to jump in & hopefully when Boyle finally bites the dust after this yr Brady Sk#*&%! is ready to jump in his spot.

Like JVR, only question for this year is how quickly he heals. With two years at 4.25 mil left after this year, the asking price will likely be through the roof. Why I view his acquisition as his unlikely and I didn't list him.

Shouldn't you be off tattle telling to the mods here? Heard you got one of our boys banned here cause you're too thinned skin. Can dish it like any pathetic troll but can't take it when you get it back.

Go to the Chicago blog it's bad over there! If you aren't a Chicago fan you'll get bad for disagreeing with anything they say.

I really like the thought of adding Shattenkirk, but we will be in the same position next year with him as we are right now with Yandle and he'll command the big bucks for sure
- jimbro83

It sounds like Shattenkirk WANTS to play for the Rangers. Like its a dream or something.

Could get him in the offseason when he's a UFA for no assets.

I still think if Yandle is traded it will be to a contending team in cap trouble, that's one of the best aspects of acquiring him, his cap hit will be next to nothing at the deadline.

A team like Florida has no need to acquire a cap bargain like Yandle

Remember those days when Yandle was the biggest tradeable asset that year because how good he was? Now, the Rangers are looking to trade him? When are people going to learn you go to the Rangers to end your career!

With that said, I do like your captain and Stepan. And Lundqvist does dress nice, but he'll never win a cup. The Ray Bourque of goalies, if you will.

Unlike Jersey, where the Clowes, Havlats, Zubrus' of the world thrived under the white hot spotlight of playing in Newark, NJ.

Well Yandle makes Florida better, so there is a point to acquiring him. I imagine a lot of teams will want Yandle for his offensive upside. The fact that his cap hit is low just makes the list of teams that could actually acquire him higher, but a team with cap space could use him too.

A couple of things, Jan:

1. Why do we always have to rob Peter to pay Paul? Why can't we rob Paul's ass to pay Peter for once? Motha f ......

2. I think that McIlrath and a first for Drouin proposal is really interesting. I am not totally convinced that Stevie Y wouldn't take something like that at this point.

Yup, want him on this team, but most definitely wouldn't happen till he is a UFA

See McDonagh trade

Actually that trade might have been like robbing Peter & Paul, banging their wives and spending the money on bourbon & crack

If Yzerman wouldn't take that then he can basically go scratch . Let the blues overpay or another team.

How quickly we forget the McDonagh deal.
