How quickly we forget the McDonagh deal. - MidnightMarauder

Well Yandle makes Florida better, so there is a point to acquiring him. I imagine a lot of teams will want Yandle for his offensive upside. The fact that his cap hit is low just makes the list of teams that could actually acquire him higher, but a team with cap space could use him too. - RAGSareDANGERus
Seems Yandle, with that low cap hit, is ticketed for Chicago, who keep trotting out Gustaffson and Scuderi on the left side. |

Trades haven't been the team's downfall, it's free agency and lack of first round draft success.
Although, the latter seems to be changing a bit. |

Agreed, it makes no sense to hold onto him especially when Chicago will likely overpay to get him for another cup run. |

See McDonagh trade
Actually that trade might have been like robbing Peter & Paul, banging their wives and spending the money on bourbon & crack - mdw7413
I really wasn't talking about anything substantive. I, personally, am just sick of getting robbed to pay some Paul guy. I deserve Paul's money for once.

Happy Friday, friends...I say we should "Ray Bourque" our King Henrik and ship him off to a contender needing a goalie, Blues, Predators, NYI, Detroit etc.. Maybe get a first round pick out of it... |

Surely the Isles can do better than that; perhaps appoint Jack Capuano's barber to the team so they can all look like 80s mafia members from Sunnyside, Queens. |

Semantics, 7 is better than 12.
Hahaha, I like breaking balls on this one. I think Buchnevich is going to be really good for this team as soon as he signs. |

that's true, but that is Corey Pronman, same guy who ranked Buchnevich 7th |

Asking them to be nationally objective is like asking Kanye West to be a decent human being. |

I don't see Nash as an option. Blues are looking to save cap space by trading him not take on more. Also Oshie was traded last year partially due to his no show in the playoffs. - Gerk
Very true. Nash is not a fit here both in dollars and performance.
IMHO - I don't even see Kreider as enough on the Blues mind and I doubt the Rangers would offer much more, nothing or real meaning more anyway. Kreider's playoff success adds value to what appears to be a low 20 goal a year player. Where is his ceiling? I have no idea but the Blues won't trade Shattenkirk straight up for someone that wouldn't be an immediate top 6 upgrade unless they are really cost controlled (ala Drouin).

He also said he wouldn't be as good as Kuznetsov or Tarasenko. I say that is a bit premature. |

Parting with Shattenkirk, for Drouin, would be a bad bad hockey trade for St. Louis.

Well, Shattenkirk is an Unrestricted Free Agent after next season, so they don't control him much longer.
Personally, I think you have to buy guys like Drouin when their stock is low, and if you get burnt you get burnt. Because once the light goes on, there is no buying them then.
