Maybe but I trust Corey Pronman's opinion - airjan23
I honestly know nothing about most hockey writers, but I used to get ESPN magazine in the 90's and their hockey info was atrocious. During hockey season there would be 2 pages about hockey and everything else football and basketball
The reason why the Rangers were able to get him in the 3rd round was precisely because of this type of uncertainty. - Pete V
We also traded Duclair for Yandle because we had him in the system, if he doesn't come over (which I think there is a low chance he stays in Russia) it will make that trade worse
Surely the Isles can do better than that; perhaps appoint Jack Capuano's barber to the team so they can all look like 80s mafia members from Sunnyside, Queens. - MidnightMarauder

No doubt about that. I think he'll get here .... eventually.

He seems to like playing there, so he might stay. I know this has been discussed ad nauseam, but can we get a look at him this spring and have him return to Mother Russia next season? How would that affect his status?
First NO WAY do the Rangers take on Patrick Marleau this would be a horrible idea!!! Unfortunately Yandle doesn't want to stay and wants big bucks. The Rangers need offense and we have plenty of young D to live with. It would be great to deal Nash or Kreider for the likes of JVR NOT Drouin!!! There are also others out there to be had that are not rentals. The Rangers do not need rentals since they have very little chance to make a cup run this year! I would rather see Hagelin back rather than Marleau or Drouin!!! Last lets stop trading our first round pics and acquire some for a change!!!
For those talking about Buchnevich this was a good pick for us. The only reason he has not come over from Russia is we had NO room for him like we do now! Buchnevich wants to come to the NHL and play for the Rangers. This should happen end of next month!!!
IF Yandle can fetch us a guy for our Top 6 I say def goodbye to KY. McIlrath is ready to jump in & hopefully when Boyle finally bites the dust after this yr Brady Sk#*&%! is ready to jump in his spot. - MrCrowley
McIlrath can't fill Yandle's shoes!!!! NO WAY!!!! They should get a top 6 and a draft pick for him. Brady isn't ready yet but we hope maybe next year. Picking up Shattenkirk would not be a bad idea at all!!!

Mine as well keep Yandle if they are going to try and acquire Shattenkirk. Only way that works is if they get a top six ready forward with a decent contact, and a first round pick for him and package a young top six-ish forward, with their second round pick to St. Louis, for Shattenkirk.
Seems unlikely the Rangers can make this happen now.

Not too sure I agree with this. Not the way Yandle is being used. McIlrath has a better shot by far, I would argue he might have the best shot from our blueline. McIlrath has shown that he is far more steady defensively than Yandle as well. Yands is high risk high reward. Every 1 great pass or play he makes, he makes 3 more boneheaded high risk passes that become turnovers. McIlrath is showing a steady smartness of making the obvious safe play, which is more of what this team needs right now. Plus he crushes 1 opponent at least once a game.
Its amazing how much Yandle is looking like a higher priced Del Zotto to me more and more. And at least DZ sometimes had a defensive mean side, Yandle doesn't even have that.
So let Boyle retire, can we package Yandle and Nash together for a solid top 6 winger?
Not sure if Nash would accept but maybe to a rebuilding team who needs Veteran leadership like Edm or Tor? I would think probably not on Nash's list though.

We are going to package Nash and Yandle for a solid top 6 winger? Might as well throw in McDonagh.
