Shatty would be great, but don't see the value in the Blues getting Nash or Krieder.
Don't want anything to do with 36 year old Marleau!!!
With Staal faded, Girardi fading, way past due Boyle, and highly trade-able asset in Yandel we need to keep McIlrath.
Def get the best you can for Yandle, that's a primary move.
See if you can get anything for Staal, I consider this urgent, as he'll never increase in worth.
Nash is an AllStar player that's of good age, lets keep that, at least for another two years.
Stepan, I've never been a fan. He can be clutch, but I don't know what his value would be on the trade market.
Dump Glass anywhere on the side of the road, duh.
I like the prospect of going after drouin, as we haven't seen a top three pick in their youth on the Rangers in a long time. (certainly not one we drafted, I think since 1966, 2nd overall).
Now for the extreme.....I'm a HUGE fan of the King, we have been so fortunate to have him for his entire career, he's been nothing short of the best Ranger in decades, even today, but....we could get a lot of talented youth in return with him in a package deal (not referring to drouin, but maybe more the likes of Ekblad, Landeskog, Barkov ...insert names )
As far as replacing the King, it'll never happen. Raanta was an excellent start and we were going to have to replace him anyway within the next two years, so I'm open for wether it should be more youth in lets say Vasilevsky or someone we'd have to give more for because they are more proven like Bobrovsky. I think if they aren't Price, Rinne, or Holtby why go with the veteran goalies? Look at Niemi, Ward, Osgood, Crawford, Khabibulin. Quick and Rask might be on a different level, but it's really about the whole team getting better. Certainly a goalie that's on fire, look at Holtby this year, helps a lot, but lets get affordable youth and roll 4 amazing lines like the last 10 champs.

Finally an article on upgrading.... WHy leave out an F A for an F A
Yandle could go straight up for any other F A pending like him...
match up the $ and both teams can benefit & fill holes ..
Winnepeg loves K Y game ..... Ladd or Byfuglin for K Y ? may have to sweeten
deal w/ lower pick BUT settle the $ picked by whom and away we go...
Shattenkirk is summer deal when we the smoke clears from the P O 's |

Winnipeg is out of contention, there is no reason for them to want to trade for a different pending UFA |

Makes no sense to trade him to Winnipeg in-season.
Yandle will get traded to a team likely qualifying for this year's postseason. |

Trading McIlrath is absurd thinking. Regardless of any deals this season, Rangers are losing BOTH Yandle (UFA; too much $$$) and Boyle (retire) in the offseason. Their spots should be filled easily and internally by McIlrath and Skeij. Instant upgrade, especially with Boyle out.
I would look at dealing Nash and/or Krieder. Nash (12 goals) just seems uninterested and tired this season and I am pretty much done with the Krieder thing. Kid has tons of potential, but that's all I see and hear; though every time I say that he goes out and scores two goals in his next game. His nine goals (two came in one game last week) is just a sad example of what a disappointment is has been. The only good thing he was good for, up until recently, was leading the team in penalty minutes |

Rangers are likely trading Yandle; don't think Gorton will risk losing a big asset for nothing. |

My thoughts have kind of changed. If they want to make another run with this group, i don't know if they are going to trade Yandle. They might just trade a lesser prospect ad pick for a RW. |

Drouin looks more like Daigle 2.0 than Patrick Kane.
It takes more than elite talent to be an elite player in the NHL. I understand the intrigue, as I flip flop on this Drouin issue almost daily, but at day's end the Rangers are not in a position to lose out on this potential trade. - MidnightMarauder
Agreed, so many ready to give up way too much.

I can live with that trade.
It would be folly to not deal Yandle and try to upgrade for another run. This team has to start recoiling a bit on the win now trades. Even if they manage to win one this year, or next year, if they continue to mismanage assets they are going to be bottom feeding for a good amount of years due to having next to nothing on the come up. |

Yeah I see some ready to sell the farm, I just don't see it, he went down to the AHL and did nothing, he is having a hissy fit, which can't be good in the locker room, and his agent is a moron. So I'm still waiting for someone to explain the attraction. i'll give you a 3rd rounder, nothing more, his value is gone. |

it's a really weird position that they are in with Yandle, and that's one reason why I doubt they'll go after Shattenkirk, why be in this same exact position with him next year |

Why wouldn't Mac be in on this? I still like watching the skill competition aside from the breakaway challenge |

Sounds like a Swiss Italian chef nor do I want Dale Weise and an "unknown draft pick" although I will tell you if it is a 1st I'd be a little more intrigued, maybe we can get John Scott thrown in |
