Now Michael McCarron and a 1st will get my attention - HankdaTank
I was just going to write 1 of McCarron, De la Rose, Scherbak or Juulsen would peek my interest. |

Anything short of their first round pick, and one of their best prospects, shouldn't get it done.
Montreal's cupboard looking shabby. |

I could live with the Rangers settling with getting a 2nd if the Rangers managed to grab one of the 4 prospects I mention. Those are their best prospects. Fucale is also on the list, I just think the Rangers would want a 4th goalie prospect. |

I'd rather pick from Dallas' prospects, much better selection, the biggest draw from Montreal is their 1st which could be a lottery pick if they don't get Price back |

Huska, Shesterkin, Skapski, Hellberg and Halverson are all progressing fairly well though.
I think the Rangers need to target defensemen and/or forward prospects in a potential trade moving forward. |

Montreal doesn't have a lot to offer in futures.
Dallas, Boston and Florida have a nice amount of prospects to poach from. |

I'd love to get Brandon Carlo from Boston but I don't know where they consider themselves this season |

I think they would be all in on Yandle because they would 100% be able to re-sign him to a long term deal in the offseason. |

If Rangers can get out of Nash, Girardi and Staal contracts they should praise the lord. G and Staal will be buy out candidates eventually and if Nash has a bad season followed by his usual playoff you won't be able to give him away. Time to cut bait and go in new direction. Maybe Ottawa would take Girardi or Staal? Trade Stephan to Minny for Dumba plus. Nash for Shatty. Then have d core of McD, Shatty and Dumba. With cap savings go after Stamkos as FA. And assume playing with Stamkos Krieder or Hayes will take next step. cap space is just as if not more important as equal value. Giving up on this year but doubt they could get past Caps or even Isles and even if they do they don't match up against any of the West teams. |

- And was there anything of value in the car?
- Oh, uh, yeah, uh... a tape deck, some Creedence tapes, and there was a, uh... uh, my briefcase.
- In the briefcase?
- Uh, uh, papers, um, just papers, uh, you know, uh, my papers, business papers.
- And what do you do, sir?
- I'm unemployed.

So you are content moving forward they have team to win SC? San Jose and Nashville aren't exactly SC contenders. You like Rangers over Caps, Kings, Blackhawks in 7 game series? Or even Tampa and Dallas?
