ya fair enough, didn't know that. I liked the answers though, found them to be well reasoned and argued points.

Everyone these days is trying to be a big shot on the inter web. It is fun. I think he knows his hockey but the media in the US or Europe have no idea of who they are. They have Niche followings only.

They aren't a MSM guy like Ek or anything

Maybe we saving salary to offer Voynov a fat contract in the off-season, not sure what his stauts is with LA...thoughts?

That perked my ears up.

We just have to remember to put a speed bag in his house for when he gets the urge.

I think so. We will use him only in the Canadian part of the schedule unti he completes the Anger Management course and gets a full pardon

This blog always amuses me...I believe the Edler comment is directed at BullFrog

"If you think that Edler is bad or the main problem with the Canucks defence or even among the top-5 issues with the Canucks defence, then I am going to think less of you as a person and probably won’t take you seriously ever again"

That's my new motto.

It's a classic response...in my opinion the people that want Edler gone and think he is useless just don't understand the game that well. They just see a few boneheaded plays and crucify him. I have plenty of buddies that think he is their worst D man and they are casual fans at best. Which is fine but I just laugh at them.

Edler is an easy guy to hate. I watched a game with my two sons. One thought he played good and the other said he was horrible.

Edler is that girl on Seinfeld that looked good in certain light and looked ugly as hell in the other light.

Certain fans realize he is a minute muncher but others just hate him.

I see both sides, but don't kid yourself there are two sides.

There is a 3rd side, the ones who blame the coaching.

This is just blatantly not true. These aren't car parts. Is Kieth replaceable? How about Doughty? Toews? Bergeron? Crosby? Need I go on ? The answer is no, they aren't replaceable, trying to replace a guy who isn't even as good as those like Edler is extremely difficult, there are just not many guys that can eat those minutes at an NHL level. Same with the Sedin's, who replaces that kind of production? You don't, you rebuild through drafting and developing. You find completely new components, but they are completely different and you have to build around them completely differently.

Ohhh enough with the eating minutes horsepoop. Any player on a roster can play the entire game if the coach puts him there. The whole problem with Edler is he shouldn't play those minutes. He can't handle it that's why he makes the huge glaring lazy plays he does. Couple that with zero physicality and always being on the wrong side of the puck. TOTALLY REPLACEABLE !!

how about a 4th that he just simply plays on a mediocre team with a lot of young guys doing stupid poop, which inevitably will make players look bad. I don't see a lot of Hutton complaining, even though he gives away the puck like he's some kind of charity. No, cause he's got potential. Weber's not in the lineup, obviously JB isn't going full pumpkin but this defense is 50% AHLer's with Biega, Hutton and Bart
