Ohhh enough with the eating minutes horsepoop. Any player on a roster can play the entire game if the coach puts him there. The whole problem with Edler is he shouldn't play those minutes. He can't handle it that's why he makes the huge glaring lazy plays he does. Couple that with zero physicality and always being on the wrong side of the puck. TOTALLY REPLACEABLE !!
- Bullfrog77

Ok so will win more games with a top 4 of Tanev-Sbisa Hutton-Bart?

Also, you completely ignored the argument about players being replaceable in order to (surprise) attack Edler without bringing any new or slightly effective argument to the table.

That's just an idiotic statement that doesn't really deserve comment. If Gretzky can be replaced I'm pretty sure Edler can be too. How do the other 29 teams even function without te great Edler on their roster???? It's a (frank)ing mystery

how about a 4th that he just simply plays on a mediocre team with a lot of young guys doing stupid poop, which inevitably will make players look bad. I don't see a lot of Hutton complaining, even though he gives away the puck like he's some kind of charity. No, cause he's got potential. Weber's not in the lineup, obviously JB isn't going full pumpkin but this defense is 50% AHLer's with Biega, Hutton and Bart

Jesus Christ you're sure being a pain in the ass. Do we really need to go over " the trade" ? The one that brought a bunch of players picks an cash to Edmonton....which took those pieces and went on to win more cups???? How many cups did any team he played for after that trade win? So yes...I'd say anyone is replaceable. Sure it may come in a diffrent form. But there is no " you have to do this to be a success " there are many ways to get there!

We had a conversation this morning about Lu being playoff choker or not. We've officially run out of things to talk about.

Yes but that cash didn't go to the hockey team, it went to prop up other failing businesses that Pocklington owned, and didn't they only win 1 more cup?

The Oilers won one more cup, the Kings became contenders. They never replaced Gretzky, they were just deep enough to win without him.

They didn't win another cup without wayne and he beat them single handedly in the first round the next season you az-hat
They built a different team around the other players and went on to win later, because you can't replace players 1 for one like that, you have to go and get different components and restrategize. Also Wayne went on to single handedly carry the kings to the SCF, because he is the greatest player to play the game and is yes irreplaceable.

Answer the (frank)ing question. How many cups did Edmonton win and every team Gretzky played for after? Your blind. The point stands Edler is replaceable Period everything else you come up with other then you're right he is......is just bullpoop

The oilers 5th cup was done without gretzky. You made a mistake and called another poster an as-hat when in fact... I think you need to step back a bit.

yes they did, two years later after Gretzky beat them in the first round the year before and they changed the personnel and style of game as a response. Which is what I said in my post.
