Wait a minute, at the start of the season I recall a whole lot of Montreal fans talking smack about how great their team was and winning the cup was inevitable. Funny what losing a hot goalie can do to a piss poor team.

I love jack... but I have said it for almost two years now, McDavid will be the greatest player of the modern day nhl. 2000s+. Tim Murray's face said it all when we lost the lotto. I know a lot of sabres fans say we got the best player and all that crap but they are just lying to themselves. Mcdavid is in a league of his own and if he can stay healthy throughout his career he will go down as one of the best ever

i am in a fantasy hockey league with a bunch of people from my area.. At the beginning of the season half the people picked up every player they could from Montreal while i sat back and laughed saying it isn't going to last.. I am now in first in my division and they are all back at the bottom.

Subban and Price are that entire roster. Galchenyuk is okay, but he's not the McDavid Montreal fans make him out to be. When you really take a good look at their roster there is not much there.

I traded for Simmonds like right before he was bumped to the first line. Ever since then, he's ranked like 3rd in the league. Been real lucky with my forwards this year.

They were talking about this on WGR last night on my way home from work. I'm fairly certain that at this point, if we somehow actually won the lottery this year, I'd want to keep the pick. The way that Schopp put his argument together about how that's a pick you should keep was very good. It definitely swayed me from being of the opinion that trading it could work too.

I'd go as low as 5. I also don't think you're getting a player like Murray or Jones and another pick with the 1 overall. I know Matthews is good and the clear 1st pick but I think Columbus hangs up and selects a really good winger and keeps their defense together for that price.
