Reinhart was our best forward last night.
one play i wish we had back was when Eichel was in with Kane. Instead of Eichel shooting high, he should have passed to Kane who would have had a tap in.

The concept of "rewarding" a player a shootout attempt because of a good game he played irritates me to no end. Love it or hate it, the shootout is now an important aspect of the game. Send out the players who are best at it, just like the power play and the penalty kill. And it's not just Bylsma that does it. Most coaches seem to. - buffalofan19
I guess for me it depends. I can see both sides of it. If a guy is having a good game, they may feel that their confidence is high. That can tend to lead to better attempts and stuff. I can see both sides of it. Kane tends to not hit the net it seems, but he did score last night earlier in the game.

If he was scoring at his avg of ~9% of shots. He would have 15-16 goals instead of 12. - ImThatGuy
And just think how many times he shoots and it doesn't even hit the net. A good portion of his "misses" probably aren't even registering as shots on goal.

I did like Reinhart's game last night as well. I do, however, have an issue with him getting put on his ass by that little rat Marchand. He can't let a guy that small drop him like that so easily.

Last night.
The Good:
Kane - was a force on the forecheck, everywhere.
Samson - who knew he would be such a good net front presence with his other skills?
Johnny - just because of that glove save in overtime on Bergeron.
The bad:
O'Reilly - looks defeated out there lately.
Bylsma - shootout choices.
Officiating - very inconsistent.
The ugly:
Bogosian - walked around like he was pylon by Marchand on the game tying goal.
Foligno - injured again.

While I agree with the sentiment, that hit had just as much to do with a veteran taking advantage of a rookie as it did body strength. Marchand caught him when he wasn't paying attention.

I know. I just really hate Marchand, so to see Reinhart go down so easily when he hit him irritated me.

He'll never do it probably because he's done the same all his life, but I think he needs to change the curve of his hockey stick. The way that thing takes off on him can be remedied by a flatter blade.

On the other hand, Reinhart battled Chara on his goal.
I fully expect Reinhart to be a minimum 60 point player in this league at full potential.
If we resign Mcginn I don't want in for more than two years. Fasching, Bailey, Baptiste, and whoever we draft this year will be ready and I don't want him taking up a roster spot - Smittyx36
If Moulson wasn't on the roster his contract, it would be easy to resign McGinn.

Unfortunately, that is not the case. - kingcong39
I don't get the McGinn love fest. He's having a decent year...perfect time to cash in while he has value. He will end up like Bryan Bickell and be on waivers in 3 years

people love over achievers, esp in blue market towns
in a year where ennis, gionta, moulson, and til recently gus failed to produce numbers anywhere near realistic expectations, mcginn has consistently produced
