As far as the SuperPotty, follow the oddsmakers! They started the line at 3 and it has since moved to 6. This means the public is betting heavily on Carolina and they have to move the line to try to entice people to bet on Denver. As long as the bets for both sides are even, the house wins.
So according to people who do this for a living, yes they are wrong often, but according to them the Panthers are about a field goal favorite, and the line has since moved to 6 because of the bets pouring in for Carolina. So the smart money is on Denver to cover the spread. I would bet Denver to cover. And I will be rooting for Peyton to win.
Besides the Denver blowout two years ago, Super Bowls tend to be close games, and the extra week of preparation often favors the defenses and a lower than expected score.
Bet Denver and the under. You are welcome.

Wasn't someone complaining about trading Armia the other day?
He's killing it with a 2-1-3 line in 19 NHL games.
3-5-8 line in 18 AHL games. |

I went to Boston for a game probably 8 years ago or so now. Got heckled by a 12 year old. The people at the game were very rude. They also wouldn't let anyone under with an out of state license that was under 25 buy beer. - HonkFortheGoose
I went to a Boston playoff game here back in 2011. I think it was game three where one of their goons two-handed Vanek across his knee and of course got away with it. We had a couple of Boston fans setting directly in front of us, and they were absolute Richards. I could see them being defensive if they were being heckled by the home crowd, but nobody said anything to them, they just took it upon themselves to start altercations. I have yet to meet a decent Boston fan in any sport, and their teams are filled with goons and cheaters. So (frank) Boston! |

ha... so did I... eight years ago. And got heckled by a kid who in all likelihood could have been 12. Did we get shellacked like 5-2 or something? - TheSabresTaco
It's possible. The only thing I remember distinctly was that Jochen Hecht scored. It was a game in November. That's about it. |

The wife and I went to a game in Boston right after we got engaged so it was 5 years ago. We sat right behind the Bruins penalty box against the glass, had signs and everything. Boyes scored the GWG in OT.
We only got heckled a few times but it was playful normal stuff you would expect to hear. We had a pretty good time there. You could tell the people around our seats were season ticket holders because they were upset with "Bill" who obviously sold his tickets to Sabres fans.
We got there super early so we didn't take the train with the rowdy crowd and on the way back to the hotel we found a ton of Sabres fan. So maybe we just got lucky. |

November 2008. Jochen had an assist. We lost 7-4.

I think walking outside after the game, win or lose, is awful. They're savages. |

Nope. Mine would have been November 2007 I believe. It was the November before my best friend got married (March 2008). Looks like it may have been November 10th. They lost 2-1.

I also don't understand how a city of that size shuts down on the weekend at like midnight. It was like crickets. Nor was there anywhere that we could find to get something to eat at that point. So we were all starving since we'd eaten dinner at like 5 in order to make it to the game. |

The friends I was staying with live in Providence, so we take the train back there every time. Personally, I have more fun there than in Boston. I might have a bias though. I didn't know they shut down that early, that's nuts. I thought the standard was at least 2 AM in any legitimate city. |

Those of you (more so the Sabres Facebook fan page) folks who irrationally hate on TPegs for being a horrible owner, consider being a fan of the bush league Islanders for a second.

Here's my concern about this...I don't like the comparison to Hall. I really, really hope he's better than that. Because if he's not, I think we're in trouble. - HonkFortheGoose
Eichel is a center...he's putting up Hall like numbers doing that...I think we'll be just fine....
...when we put Matthews on his wing |

Personally, I think he's better than Hall, but I'm just afraid it's my own bias that's making it seem that way. I think he's got better Hockey IQ and vision. |
