Don't ever go to a game in AZ. They specifically gouge Hawk fans, and to a lesser extent, Wings fans. Let the Yotes go bankrupt.

Do you know how pathetic you have to be as fan base to get drowned out at home by the opposing teams fans? They're a joke. The idea of having a hockey team in that state is a joke.

They covered the sequence of events on NHL network....only to have Scott Stevens ramble on about Domingue and his level of play lately during the entire thing, FINALLY shutting up just in time for them to show the OEL PP goal and lo and behold they all act like nothing happened and "what a goal by the Yotes". As if this poop wasn't annoying enough already.

Not sure where you're buying your tickets. I go at least once a year (went last game) and paid 100/piece to sit 15 rows up from the glass.
- CBHawks88

Tickets started at $90 online. Nearly every other game started around $25.

Make up calls don't mean poop when the PP sucks
- CBHawks88

When it comes to non Hawks games i think my favorite games to watch are Kings vs Ducks, at least over the past few years or so.

Jack, using that criteria the league should contract by about 8 clubs.

Ya know what, when you really ask yourself "what exactly did those refs see to overturn the call?".....the answer literally is nothing. There was NOTHING they could have POSSIBLY looked at and said "you know what, this is the right thing to to do". IMO, i honestly think its a screw job. There was just nothing there to actually think it was interference. Literally the refs are out to get us in this one, thats what i think.

Yeah I agree. been to the past two games in Denver and there've been more hawks fans than Avs fans. The bars before and after are 90% Hawks fans.

Love the Chelsea Dagger jukebox invasions afterwards in the opposing cities!!

Are we looking to use Sekac as trade chip seeing as we acquired him to not play?

Screw Job...

intentionally selecting a referee crew with rookies, second year, and no one with over three seasons certainly doesn't help when the call if botched that bad.

Someone check the lines in Vegas

Why?

Why screw one of the - if not the - most popular teams in the league?

One that has probably sold more tickets to this game the the Coyotes did?

One that consistently get the highest TV ratings (at least in the US)?

Every time I hear "the league/refs/Bettman is screwing the Hawks", and we hear it a lot, I always just think - Why?

I know people don't like complaining about the refs, but that was some bullpoop. Not only do they take away the goal, they give them a PP where they score and ignore the trip on Hossa. That poop could very well determine the game.

Very good question but its the only explanation in my mind. No possible way anyone that follows hockey would analyze those replays and call that goalie interference.

Or that OEL has gotten so good that he used a Jedi mind trick on the refs to reverse the goal.

Hossa's foot interfered with the goalie's ability to slide to his left - BUT - the question is whether it is goalie interference is the opposing player is pushed into the goalie, because clearly that was the case here. Therefore either I don't understand the nuance of the rule or the refs got it wrong.

I'm not jumping on the conspiracy bandwagon, but wanting parity, and occasionally handicapping the Hawks (as well as other recent Cup winners) in aim of that parity doesn't also mean that Bettman recognizes the Hawks are the cash cow and thus televises them nationally often, etc. One could argue that Bettman knows Hawks will bring in the same revenue even if they don't win all the time, so using calls to create parity isn't mutually exclusive with using your best revenue machine
