Hossa's foot interfered with the goalie's ability to slide to his left - BUT - the question is whether it is goalie interference is the opposing player is pushed into the goalie, because clearly that was the case here. Therefore either I don't understand the nuance of the rule or the refs got it wrong.

The refs hosed it up. If the contact is initiated by a defender, the attacking player is in the clear.

Anyone notice Toews has a tan. I didn't want to post it, but a friend of a friend saw Toews at the airport prior to the all star break heading through Customs and was supposedly going to Mexico. Toews said "no pictures for obvious reasons". I didn't know how credible since it was a friend of a friend. But looks like he had a fun trip with his girlfriend. Much needed time away, good for him.

Ya know what, when you really ask yourself "what exactly did those refs see to overturn the call?".....the answer literally is nothing. There was NOTHING they could have POSSIBLY looked at and said "you know what, this is the right thing to to do". IMO, i honestly think its a screw job. There was just nothing there to actually think it was interference. Literally the refs are out to get us in this one, thats what i think.

the goalies stick got caught up with hossas stick and skate AFTER...hossa was pushed into him...there is nothing there to conclusively overturn...

I'm not jumping on the conspiracy bandwagon, but wanting parity, and occasionally handicapping the Hawks (as well as other recent Cup winners) in aim of that parity doesn't also mean that Bettman recognizes the Hawks are the cash cow and thus televises them nationally often, etc. One could argue that Bettman knows Hawks will bring in the same revenue even if they don't win all the time, so using calls to create parity isn't mutually exclusive with using your best revenue machine
